I've been doing some research about US legal requirements for a story I'm preparing to write and would like to be as truthful to reality as possible. Any help would be welcome.
1) a foreigner, on deployment from a non-US company, entering the country to provide services and assistance for an american company, with his salary being paid in his country of origin by its employer and no further compensation being paid in american soil, either monetary or in any other form, would be required to declare his trip as work related or could declare it as for leisure?
I have personal knowledge of a similar situation where an individual is placed in a foreign country but has his salary paid in full in his country of origin. Because he receives no further compensation in the country he his actually working, he has a long-term tourist visa.
2) what are the legal requirements for someone to become a driving instructor in a private speed/racing track?
To my knowledge, besides being legally able to drive and have full knowledge of road laws, in my country, driving instructors have no special requirements to act as so, even further if the track is privately owned.
In a racing track I visited, there are no "official" instructors on site. People who are available to take a newbie around are veteran drivers that know the ins and outs of the track and volunteer to "babysit". When the newcomer says its all good, he is on his own.
Any questions/clarifications, just ask.
Thank you in advance for your help.
