Some Call It Taboo {closed}

"Hello, Lizzie, do come in." Jewel breathed a heavy sigh as her sister walked right in the door after a brief knock.

"What the hell is going on, Jewel?" Lizzie demanded. "You haven't seen us for weeks!"

I fell in love with your son and am too ashamed now to see him.

"Nothing, Lizzie... work... it's really bogging me down. As a matter-of-fact I was offered a promotion this morning...." Jewel didn't want to talk about Quinn at all even though she was dying to know how he was doing. Was he as miserable as she was? No, he wouldn't be. It was fun while it lasted had been running through her head for the last 34 days.

"Oh really?" Lizzie's mood brightened. "Doing what?"

"Running one of the offices... in Collegetown..."

Lizzie was silent for a moment. "You will be moving away from us."

"I haven't accepted it yet, Liz."

"Why not?"

Because that's where Quinn will be for the next year. I don't want to run the risk of running into him!

"I grew up here, Lizzie. My whole life is here. You, my family, are here."

Lizzie sat for a moment and wondered what really had happened on that weekend get-away between Jewel and Quinn. Her son had been in the foulest of moods lately, but she had contributed it to the upcoming stress of his senior year and his recent break-up with Jill. And now she could see her sister was wound up tight also. Stress permeated from them both. Suddenly, Lizzie had an idea... perhaps she could help her son and her sister.

"Jewel... you know Quinn is starting his senior year there in just a few more days." Jewel nodded. "You've been stressed, he's been stressed... why don't you two share a house? That way you won't be far from family at all and he won't have to face the dorm his final year."

Move in with Quinn?!? Was she insane?

"I don't know Liz. I like my privacy AND my quiet. I know how rowdy some college kids can get."

Liz raised her eyebrow. "My Quinn? Puhlease!" Lizzie rolled her eyes. "Let's call him right now and see what he thinks about the idea." Lizzie picked up her cell phone to call Quinn.

No! Oh my gods no! Jewel screamed but it was too late... her sister was already connected on the phone with Quinn.

Quinn was out in the yard tinkering with his bike when his cellphone rung. he saw by the caller display that it was his Mom calling. "What could she want?", he wondered.

He listened to her telling him that Jewel was being promoted to the town where his college was. He was filled with conflicting emotions at this news. Then when she mentioned the idea of them sharing a house he almost chewed her out right htere on the phone.

He realized that would make her even more suspicious than she already was about what went on between him and his Aunt that weekend at Miller's Cove. She hadn't said anything to him about the weekend but he caught her eye from time to time over the last few weeks and knew she knew something was not right.

"Well, I have some things on the go with the guys if I can get this stupid bike fixed. I think maybe the 4 of us should sit down and discuss this idea together. I don't want this to screw up my independence too much, ya know?"

"Yes Mother!"

"You get in touch with Dad and we can all meet at Aunt Jewel's around 7pm, that sound OK?"

"Cool! See ya then. Love ya, Mom."

Jewel was quite nervous about seeing Quinn again, but Lizzie had insisted that Quinn wanted the four of them to sit down and talk about everything. Well, everything relating to her move. She would never tell her sister about the weekend at Miller's Cove... NEVER!

Lizzie and Mark came first and as Jewel was pouring the glasses of wine they heard Quinn's motorcycle roar into the drive. Her heart fluttered at the thought of seeing his handsome, smiling face again, but when she invited him in, he was scowling. THAT doesn't look well, she thought.

The four of them sat around her breakfast table, overlooking her garden out of the bay window. Lizzie and Mark were on one side of the table, with Quinn and Jewel on the other. Can he sit any further away from me? If this tension keeps up, Lizzie is going to know that something happened between the two of us.

Lizzie and Mark were not only on one side of the table but also on one side of the "discussion". They both thought it was an excellent idea for Quinn to move in with Jewel to not only save on expenses, but to allow Jewel at least some contact with family. Jewel and Quinn each argued about their independence and not wanting to get in each other's way. They seemed to fight it tooth and nail, while Quinn's parents thought it was a "match made in heaven".

If only they knew.....

"I cannot believe you people have this all figured out without including me." Quinn said as he yanked out his chair and sat down hard.
"One of the reasons a kid goes away to college in the first place is to spread his wings; to be independent. Now you want me to share a house with my Aunt?"
"My buddies will love this!!"

Quinn was so pissed he could hardly see straight. Nonetheless he sat patiently and listened to his folks tell their reasons why they thought it was such a good idea.

He couldn't help but notice Jewel was wearing a bathrobe, remembering her telling him that she spent most of her time naked. In spite of his anger his mouth was watering.

"The only way I will agree to this is if she can find a house with a finished basement so that I can have my own space!"

Jewel couldn't believe his outburst!

"If you are that opposed to living with an old maid, Quinn, that's just fine! Spend your money on the dorm, pizza, beer and sluts! See if I care!"

She got up from the table and pulled the belt of her robe more tightly around her. She should have changed... what was she thinking? Lizzie new her eccentric ways, but still....

She refilled her wine glass with shaky hands, hoping no one would notice. With Quinn in the same room with her she was impossibly on edge.

Quinn's parents could not believe the emotions running high in the room. They finished saying what they came to say and left, leaving Jewel & Quinn alone to iron out the details on their own.

Quinn was watching Jewel as she shakily poured another glass of wine. He got up from the table, walked to the kitched, got a glass & poured himself a glass of the wine.

His eyes wandered over her, knowing every curve that lay beneath her bathrobe.

"So, how've you been, Auntie?"

Jewel tossed her hair over her shoulder nonchalantly and took a large sip of the Merlot before answering him.

"I've been fine, Quinn. I got the promotion, which is what this big meeting was all about. And yourself?"

She watched him looking at her and she suddenly felt very self-conscious of what she had on under her robe, which was her normal... nothing at all. He seemed to be undressing her with his eyes, but she had to be wrong.

It's over. He said so. Good while it lasted. That's what he had said.

O ya know. I've been OK. Hangin' out with the guys. Rididng my bike. A few beach parties. Trying to get in as much fun as I can before heading back to college and hitting the books again.

Fuck! I am such a liar!

She peeked under her eyelashes at him.

Gods he is so handsome! Why does he make my insides flutter so violently?

"Beach parties, huh? And fun? Why don't tell me you've already found another girl?" She smiled sweetly.

Gods no! Please don't tell me that! I don't think I could bear it right now!

He knows well the coy look on her face. He steps to her bodly. His hands toying with the tie of her robe. His eyes once again memorizing every line of her face.

His mouth stops a breath from hers. "There could be no other girl, Auntie. Not after Miller's Cove."

His lips were just a breath away from hers and she lightly flicked out her tongue quickly running it over his mark.

She felt him lightly tugging on her belt around her waist and thought for just an instant that she should stop him. She stared deep into his eyes, losing herself all over again, but desperately trying to hold onto the tiniest bit of control.

"You said it was over, Quinn," she whispered.

His hands loosen the tie, slipping inside to rest his warm, rough hands on her waist. His nose runs from her collarbone up to her ear. Breathing her into him once again.

Whispering against her left ear as his hands move over her ribs..."You had said more than once that there couldn't be anything more than that weekend. I needed to give you some space. I needed some time. But I cannot get you out of my soul."

His hands felt like fire on her skin. But she was burning from the inside out. Everywhere he touched sent shivers throughout her body. Gods she wanted him now more than ever!

...couldn't be anything more than that weekend... I needed some time.

She pushed away from him, her breathing heavy. "No. We can't. You were right that it was fun while it lasted."

Gods no! Don't do this to yourself Jewel... he is wanting you. You want him. You love him. Why are you pushing him away?

She quickly tied the belt back around her and closed the robe. She turned away from him, pouring another glass of wine.

Quinn saw her hand shaking, the bottle clanking against the glass as she poured the wine. He pushed out a chair with his foot and said, "Please come sit."

He watched her as she sat.

"I think we both know deep down that we both like the idea of sharing a house. If you can look me in the eye and tell me you aren't into the idea, then I will walk away and never mention it again. We can live in the same town and only see each other when my folks come up to see me."

She sat... mostly to keep her knees from buckling under.

If you can look me in the eye and tell me you aren't into the idea, then I will walk away and never mention it again.

She tried to avert his eyes. He touched his thumb to her lower lip and ran the pad of it along his mark... or where it should have been. It had long since healed. She ached to have him put it there again. His. He took her chin and forced her gaze to meet his and she sighed.

"I cannot deny it." She almost felt as if she had lost the battle by admitting it to him, but wondered if she had won the war also by doing so. "You sounded so against it, Quinn... earlier... why?" Her voice was low and barely a whisper.

"Why?"

"Do you think my parents are blind to the tense between us? Hell, Mom even asked me one day what happened on our weekend trip. I had to tell her that I found out some things about you that made me grow-up in my thinking about you. Of course I didn't give her any details."

He chuckled and winked at her, admiring the blush in her cheeks. Hearing her giggle and feeling her slap his right hand as it lay on the table.

"If we can find a house with a finished basement, that will give us the cover that we need when they come to visit. Talk to your boss and see what you can find out."

He picked up her hand, turned it and kissed the palm, his eyes on hers.

Jewel giggled as she thought of the "grown-up" things Quinn had insinuated. She could picture her sister, thinking, "OMG my son knows his aunt is a nudist!"

As he kissed her palm, she lost all conscious thought and sighed heavily. Her eyes closed and she imagined his lips all over her body as they were at Miller's Cove.

"I have to go down there on Friday and introduce myself to the crew. I could see what listings are there for a house with a finished basement."

She glanced up at him and saw the desire burning in his eyes. She licked her lips.

Gods, Quinn! Just take me! I want you so badly right now. Can't you feel my body aching for your touch... my lips desiring your kiss... my cunt crying out for your cock?

Quinn's warm rough hands encircled her face as he stooped to kiss her. Lingering deliberately.

"Sounds like a good idea. If this is meant to be then you will find what you seek."

Without a word he turned and left her apartment, got on his bike and drove off into the night.

Always leave them wanting more, he thought, as he gunned the throttle and headed to the lakeshore. Knowing she would know where to find him if she wanted to.

When did Quinn turn into a philosopher?!

What did she seek? They couldn't have a long term relationship, she knew that much. But she just wasn't ready to have her heart broken into a million pieces either.

He rumbled out of the driveway and down the street. She listened to his motorcycle, idling at the stoplight, waiting to turn left to go back home. She heard it roar and then... no wait.... he turned right. That's not right, she thought. His home is the other way. The only thing that way leads to is the lake.

She shrugged and put away the wine glasses after washing them, slowly slipped up the stairs to her room where she drew a bath. She lit candles everywhere and the room filled with fragrance. As she slipped beneath the bubbles, his words came to her again.

If this is meant to be then you will find what you seek.

What am I seeking? she asked herself again. And what is he? The bubbles and candles were relaxing the tension of the evening away. It wasn't tense at the end of the night. Why had he not even called her in the last five weeks? I needed some time.

Was it true? Would time heal the wounds? Would there be time for them once they were living together? Jewel sighed and leaned back further into the water, watching the candlelight play along the wall.

A million different thoughts went through Quinn's head as he rode to the lakeshore.

Would she read me right?

Would she find a house suitable? Would she even bother to look for one or just take what she can get?

Is she wanting this as much as I am?

Will she take the huge hint I dropped and drive out here tonight?

He got to his folks cabin at the lake and parked the bike in the dirt drive. He didn't bother going inside. He went straight to the pier to take a swim in the lake. Leaving a trail of clothese behind him.

She realized what Quinn was really doing when the first candle blinked out from the breeze near the window. Her rush to get out of the tub sloshed water over the remaining ones. She dressed quickly with one last check to make sure all the candles were out, she got into her car and turned right at the stoplight. She hoped she wasn't too late. It was well over an hour since Quinn had left her house.

She pulled up to Lizzie's cabin and saw his bike. She breathed a sigh of relief. But no lights were on in the cabin. She looked out towards the pier and could see by the moonlight, one loan swimmer.

Jewel walked past his trail of clothes, giggling softly. When she reached the end of the pier she called out, "Whatcha doin', Quinn?" The smile in her voice was perfectly audible.

He heard her car before he saw it. He almost laughed out loud with the awareness that she figured out his half-assed riddle.

Her voice floated to him on the air. He noted the musical lilt of laughter mingled with her words.

"Well it's about time gorgeous! Get your sexy self out here!"

"I didn't bring a suit.... and I'm shy!" she called out.

He was only about ten feet away from the pier and pushed a wave of water up on her with her remark. She screamed, more startled than anything, but very very aware of his naked body beneath the water.

She peeled off her tank top, allowing the moonlight to bask and the cool air to peek her nipples. She slid out of her jean shorts, sans underwear of course. She dipped her toe into the water while holding on to the post.

"Feels cold, Hon...." her words trailed off. The water was cool, but even she knew that what was about to happen would heat things up in a hurry.

Quinn listens to her mock protests, knowing well she is not as timid as her words imply...knowing that she knows that he knows....

He swims slowly to the pier, "I will help you, love". He quickly grabs her ankle and yanks her into the water, catching her in his strong arms. Before she can protest, his mouth is on hers....kissing her with a deep hunger all his own.

He feels her relax and mold her body to his under the water.

"I'm pleased you figured out my riddle."

His hands claim her ass once again.

From this moment on he will never give her reason to doubt his feelings for her.

She yelped as Quinn hauled her into the cool water, but as his mouth claimed hers, she forgot everything else but him... being with him, touching him... loving him.

As he kissed her passionately, he bit her lip, opening up the old wound. His mark. It was true. She belonged only to him.

As they kissed, their bodies undulated under the water, his engorged cock cradled between her legs. He slipped inside of her and she moaned with ecstasy. He was perfect inside of her, moving slowly at first and then building speed, the waves of the water helping his momentum. As he cried and out filled her with his seed, he screamed his name.

The time was now for both of them... time to start anew... time to rebuild... time for Jewel and Quinn.

If this is meant to be then you will find what you seek.

She sought him out and she found him... perhaps it really was meant to be.
