The service call will prolly cost more than a new fridge. Check craigslist for someone getting rid of an old fridge because the wife doesn't like the color, and take it off their hands. One with R12 refrigerant, preferably, if you want it to last a long time.

Somebody check Charleston craigslist and find me a fridge. Try to keep it under 300. I don't need an icemaker so make sure it's sort of new.

Sort of new gets you one that will die in a few years. Old iron might be outta style, but it will last forever.
