Hi, I am crazy about Audio. I love to describe in detail what I would love to do to a man or woman and I also love to record my sexual fantasies as well but have not found the software or way to record them longer that 1 minute. I currently just use my sound recorder on my computer which only allows up to one minute recordings. Can someone please offer some advice so i can begin to submit some of my recordings?

Well I personally use Creative Studio which is the software I got with my SoundBlaster Live! so if you have one of those cards there's some great programs with that.

However, try Cnet.com and just type in something like Audio Recording software or something. It'll have loads of choices to suit you!

I use the same thing Different Guy does -- Soundblaster Live's Wave Studio. It makes fairly huge wav files, but if you save it at MP3 compression rate (there's a little pull down menu that let's you do that when you save), you can shrink the file size down. I can record about 5 minutes of audio per meg, or thereabouts.

Fantastic

You both are fantastic! Thank you!

As stupid as this may sound, is that product a software which I can go out and purchase at retail stores?

I will go to the link you mentioned first, I am sure it will probably answer that exact question. I was just so darn excited to see someone has tried to help me out with this. I am anxious to get recording. *wink

The program I was talking about came pre-installed on my computer with my SoundBlaster sound card. You may be able to buy it, but you'd have to run a search or something online to get the prices and details. I've got two other programs on my computer that will make audio files, both of which you could download online. Like I said, I use the Wave Studio software, but one of these two should also work:

MusicMatch -- http://www.musicmatch.com/
RealOnePlayer -- http://www.real.com/ (with the RealOne Player, they always try to sell you a free trial of the premium program and hide the link for the free version somewhere on the page).

I think a lot of the programs that will play music and burn CDs will also record, not just these two.

a question for the experts :)

I have a webcam, but it didnt come with a mic. Any idea how to get some audio in there?

Sure. Buy a separate mic and plug it in to your sound card.

Check and see if a mic came with your computer. Most of them have one these days. Otherwise you should be able to pic one up pretty cheaply.

You might give some thought to what kind you want. I've got a little one that sits on the desk and picks up all the sounds in the room, but I've also got a headset with a mic and that's great for making audio recordings and using voice chat programs. If you're planning to use the mic with the webcam, your pal would see you were wearing a big headset and look like an air traffic controller, though ...

Thanks guys! Now I feel kinda dumb, I had no idea it was so simple... Thanks :)

PS the air traffic controler might be a good role playing thing... hehe j/k

Yeah Ice Princess I have MusicMatchJukebox and that's great for saving into MP3's as you can select the quality of the recording to reduce the size. Also, it allows you to record your CD's onto your computer so you can have all your music in one places that just requires a click to play!

Also Mic's cost as little as £5. Look for the little hole on the back... of the computer I mean! Anyway look for a hole that has a mic symbol and stick it right in... oh I should stop now!
