Why do women in porn often wear socks?

I've always wondered this.

Women in porn are just like women in RL (surprise!) so I happen to know that they wear socks because socks are useful and comfy inside shoes.

Now, you're probably saying "Duh, I knew that. But why do they keep them on while they get jiggy?"

I don't know, but I think it is ridiculous. I also dislike pictures where the women strip down to nothing but sneakers. Give me a break.

I have double standards though. If a lady wants to keep her stockings on (and garters ) while she shakin' it, I don't mind at all. In my opinion stocking are sexy, so are high heels.

But the kicker: nekkid guys in socks. I don't know why, but it's a turn off. Lose the socks - or put them clothes back on.

IMHO, I think it is because complete nakedness has an aura of intimacy to it that porn does not want to "soften" to. Keeping on the high heels sort of puts a psychological barrier between life and lust.

That is the NUMBER 1 answer. And so true. I dated a woman who could be so hot to the touch when she was turned on. I mean she was like on fire but her feet would be ice cold. And I didn't know that until right at a hot moment she went to wrap her legs around me and YIKES..... her feet were freezing.
Some of that is normal but some of it is also a health problem with circulation. A doctor friend told her it was low iron and so she started to take iron and they got warmer.. NOT HOT but better then ice cubes.

I totally agree.

That's interesting about the connection between low iron and icy feet. I work with a woman who's always complaining of cold feet--it doesn't help that our office is cold enough to hang meet in--I'll tell her about it.

I dont have any problems with circulation.... it just happens for some weird reason.


The other reason I'll wear socks sometimes that I didnt mention before, dry skin. There are occasions where the skin on the bottom of my feet gets so dry it's rather nasty looking (and feeling). So I keep the socks on to keep that from hitting his back too.

Dry skin, I can relate to that. We once had to live up north for a winter--my dad had an assignment in Bartlesville, OK. The apartment hotel Phillips put us up in was warm enough, but the humidity was so low that it just leached all the moisture out of our skin, and my folks had to slather their feet with lanolin and wear wool socks to bed to keep their feet from cracking, that's how dry it got.

i remember once reading about this and it said its because it was once illegal in movies to have someone in bed completly naked so they got round this by having the "actors and actresses" wear socks which meant the technically still had clothes on.

Obviously that law doesnt exist today but i imagine its still got something to do with it maybe?

And the most obvious reason is have you seen the floor where they film these things? dirty and probably more than a few things lying around that would hurt. ive seen a few interviews where the "stars" say thats why they wear socks or shoes.

I agree with you sweet that alot of it is the actually floor where they film things. I also have heard the not being totally naked story and I am trying to remember who told it. I am thinking that it was Larry Flynn but don't hold me to that one.
