The Wall Street Journal this morning whines about 1,546 people who erroneously or fraudulently received Social Security benefits last year.
According to my reality-based calculator, that's an accuracy rate of 99.996%
Since the glibertarian creed defines failure as "less than 100%", I guess this is one more instance of the gummint not being able to do anything right.
- Total amount of money lost through error or fraud: $31 million dollars.
- Total amount of money disbursed by Social Security: $750 billion dollars.
