Yes. True, I gave up begging for messages and I gave up (as chris_michael so eloquently put it) the "can I fuck you up the ass" PM'S I send a long time ago!! Now I come here to post weak attempts at humor and just TALK. If I get an interest or a laugh which leads to a nice PM,Thats great.

I can only speak for myself, but conversation, humor, some sense of the person's personality is what catches my interest to send them a PM. If they seem like they'd be a good fit with me—shared interests, sense of humor, something to build a conversation on—I'm going to pop into their box.

Exactly. I think most people need a jumping off point, that thing that makes them feel like you're someone they'd like to know a little better. For some, sure it could be just a request for a message, but I'm betting it usually takes a bit more than that.

True the only thing I beg for is more reliable internet for streaming. I've been known to bribe them. I think I promised an internal organ for three months of HBO to watch Game OF Thrones. Hopefully they'll wait until I'm dead to remove it. (I should go read the fine print)
