Are we going to investigate and hold hearings for two years ... Until trump get reelected and the HOR get rearranged again.

or we going to work on some problems this country has?

Trump is the biggest problem to many. His lack of class, integrity and honesty worries people, as it should.

You know the answer.

Any time someone tries to be bipartisan and offers some seriously reasonable shit?

The other team will shit on it just out of principal . Right now Trump could take a public HC system that was just TIGHT as fuck. 100% public service, return private care back to private control, taxpayers save TRILLIONS and everyone wins.

The (D)'s would call him a Nazi and spit in his face before they EVER voted for such a horrifying thing.

Even with total control neither party can even address the issues.

They are too busy trying to get shit on the other sides shoes, that's all they do.

It would be nice if you were wrong.

However, I fear you are not.:(

I think both are possible--assuming that Trump and his treasonous supporters moving toward a dictatorship aren't able to destroy the country in the seven weeks they have left before the House switchover.

That's already accelerated today with Trump's grab for a special counsel probe he's supposed to be keeping entirely out of. Why would he need this obstruction of justice if he was innocent? If he's innocent the probe would clear him.

Oh the fear mongering tool is here with his unfounded bullshit

I think that even if many Democrats wanted to work with Trump on some issues, the left has so vilified Trump and campaigned on defeating him, that at this point they can't do it without their base and supports coming unglued. So it will likely be two years of hearings and grid-lock. Now, Trump might be able to get a few individual Democrat House members to join in and vote with the Republicans on a few things. That is possible.

Well, considering the absence of any congressional oversight for the last two years, I think some is long overdue.

How many fucking Benghazi hearings did we have again?

Shoe - meet other foot.

Even better, the Republicans changed their subpoena power back in 2015 so that the majority party in the house can unilaterally subpoena the executive branch without ANY input of the minority party.

One suspects this will now come back to bite Republicans majorly on the ass.

Nothin' but gridlock ahead....but that's okay because pre-existing conditions are now safe come January, to the dismay of certain flatheads here.

Bring it on. Make the next two years about bullshit investigations and help fuel a Trump landslide.

Not really.

Doesn't look like it.

President Trump on potential investigations by House Democrats: "If that happens then we're going to do the same thing and government comes to a halt and I would blame them"

I would like to see bipartisanship. I'd like to see unity. And I think we have a very good chance -- and maybe not on everything, but I think we have a very good chance of -- of seeing that.

So... basically do exactly as I wish.. and we'll get along just fine.

Good point. They have stated that they want to work on some sort of infrastructure bill, healthcare, and "cleaning up DC" whatever that means. But they plan on installing Maxine in the Finance chair, I can't see that working out for them. And Neal of MA., who is assumed to be the next Ways and Means Committee chair, is planning on subpoenaing Trumps tax returns. What Trump's tax returns have to do with the business of the Ways and Means committee is anybodies guess?

Point being that it appears that most of the committee chairmanship's are going to be filled with vindictive assholes who are planning to do anything but the work of the people.

If that comes to pass I can see nothing of any significance being done and a host of constitutional issues being forced to the SCOTUS.

Are you on acid, or did you just not see Trump's press conference today?
