The precious metals thing is just silly, for reasons already posted. So the question is, would I rather be smarter or stronger.
Hmmm. Being smarter would be nice but may also have downsides. Greater intelligence could lead to depression as societal mores aren't likely to change even in the face of most women becoming more intelligent. If women being considered second class citizens or chattel was based on women being less intelligent we would have neither. I personally would like to be smarter. As I age I find myself not as sharp as I once was and it would be nice to regain the easier intelligence of youth.
Being stronger would have some upsides. Tires would be easier to change, jars would be easier to open, and, yes, it would be nice to be able to deck someone effectively if they made inappropriate advances.
