...or "challenge"? or "call for entries"

It doesn't have to be competitive.
Halo_N_Horns used to host some.
I realize that nobody has any time.
so? Do it anyway.

I've been trying to get some sort of a challenge going, but you and I can do a draw off thread if you want - pick a subject, a scene, or a sequence, and we can post our interpretations. Doesn't have to be competitive neccessarily, just something to push our individual envelopes a bit.

I was trying to get somebody to suggest panels for a story in another thread, so far no takers, but I ended up with a decent script for that story anyway - now I just have to find the time to draw it.

Anyway, stories are time consuming, I did like that limerick format, it's storytelling, and something I can adapt into sequential format without it getting too long and involved, and I learned a bit from that one.

So, there's a few suggestions, I figured people would be clamoring to get their fantasies drawn, but so far it's awfully coy bunch, maybe have to do a little marketing here.

yes, my expectations were vastly out of phase with the reality. But, I remind myself that this is Literotica not drawerotica. heehee that sounds funny... drawer-rotica...rotten drawers (those who draw) or drawers (under garments) or even drawers (in a dresser)! snort.

there is some history here of "contests" for illustration if you look back in the archives of posts in the Artists Corner... Halo_N_Horns spear headed this whole corner even.

if somebody has a theme and says "go" that would be enough.

The contests are cool, if we can jibe with the themes and have time...I do have projects of my own I've only marginally gotten the ball rolling on and have a growing pile of work I've started that begs to be finished...but that's my problem, I'm a classic case of having too many ideas that I start and keep bopping on over to the next one before I really finish the previous one...

However, one thing that's probably cool outside of the contests, is a possible artists' sequential panel jam session, similar to the writers' jam sessions where someone starts out with a panel scene, then the next artist takes up the next panel scene and continues the story, and so on, and so on...we could make it open-ended for anyone to get in on and all that's necessary would be for the following artist to call out "next" and then follow thru.

My two cents. As with most non-commerical creative thought, one really can't force it out, it has to come out when it's supposed to on its own terms...

Art jams are fun if you have time for them, which it doesn't sound like you do - I'm up for it, but I have time on my hands and trying to cram in as much sketching as I can, I doodle anatomy problems pretty much all day.

What I'd really like to do, is to get short scripts, scenes, etc., and try to interpret them - to me, drawing the sex scenes is the easy part - although technically challenging, I have a vivid enough imagination when it comes to that. More difficult for me is simple character interaction: conversations, etc., the whole negotiating process leading up to sex, and to some extent, the various complexities that tend to follow.

In trying to write erotic, I find that's the hardest part: the seduction itself: in the movies, the characters just walk in and rip their clothers off, but in real life, the thrill of the chase is the story, the sex is just the payoff.

Anyway, anybody, and I mean anybody reading this thread is free to suggest any scene, story, character, position of the Kama Sutra, etc. - whatever you want to see, and I'll do my best to interpret it.

So, somebody suggest something - I'd rather it be forum regulars, otherwise it might get out of hand - I was sort of toying with the idea of doing a Leda and the Swan piece inspired by browsing Catalina's thread - with catalina as Leda - but this could be just an excuse to get Catalina to post more pics of herself, and Franchesco will want to kick my ass...

Oh Yes...

We Should All Find Ourselves A Writer, Or Write A Short Piece Ourselves, Then Add The Art!

The Theme Of Seduction Is Keen, But We Should Have A Few Choices To Choose From?

Not A Comp Though... More Like A Grand Fucking Thread That Would Be Sexy And Soooo Fun:D

Any suggestions? I've tired doing the Marvel method before, where you draw a sequence and the dialogue is supplied afterword - this can be a lot of fun, kind of like an acid game we used to play back in the day called "the wonderful world of television" where you watch TV with the sound turned off and supply your own dialogue.

For some reason I can never get anyone to participate though - it's easier for me to do it in roughs, then I can fine tune the finished pages.

We could do that as an art jam, either pages or panels, whatever you feel like, jsut ad hoc, no rotation or anything, and get more people participating.

I'll see if I can do my sketch pages as panels, I have several thumbnails for stories I'm thinking about, I'll scan some in when it gets too hot outside.

I'm on a lesbian kick so I just did a sketch page in panels - nothing too complicated, anybody want to take a shot at dialogue?

Having a bit of trouble with those fuller faces, you'll have to bear with me.

I can't get Freeimagehosting to work - how come it works for Zumi?

Pisser, too big to attach, here's a link - which may not work either: Page 1

allyoucan upload worked - might get deleted, but good for now.
