Are seven shower heads too many? Asking for a friend.

The more the merrier! In a previous life, I was in a shower in an old mansion that had shower heads in all four corners going down the wall, about 16 of them. Fun times!

I've had this discussion now with lots and lots of people. When I relate my story about my dry hack that I had in January after being exposed to someone who reported to me, that his cough it gone on for a month, at least half the people I talk to feel that they to may have been exposed and may have had it and recovered.

That group of us that believes that are obviously wrong because that's not possible. Antibody testing shows that far less than that number of people have been exposed.

The old ship captain's house we had in Maine, known to the local kids as the haunted house for no other reason that it sat empty for 5 or 6 years before we bought it, had such a shower.

Fairly early we realized it it was leaking badly to the entry hall below. I remember my folks calling out a plumber and it being a rather pricey proposition to repair. Probably not true but my mom claims that the plumber had a medical degree but found plumbing more lucrative. An old joke that she picked up somewhere or perhaps the plumber told.

I dismember what exactly they did but I don't think that they made all of the shower heads functional I think they plumbed around it and put in a conventional shower head

Trying to go to Japan soon, so I had to get tested, tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.

Apparently I had it at some point and never even knew it.....maybe that mild cold I had back in February???

I guess I'll keep the mil spec full mask and hood for my costco trips but I'll not be wearing any more masks unless the business asks me too.

Which I love when they do because then I get to do my NBC drill in the middle of a store.....

GAS!! GAS!! GAS!!!!

It's best with the kids around because it makes them laugh while everyone around us panics like fucking retards.

That made me laugh till I went on a coughing jag. Hopefully not a Covid cough.

I should go get tested. Saw a place with a sign advertising it. Are there different protocols or are all the antibody tests the same? I am in no hurry for results and care more about finding the antibodies (if there) than cost.

I'm in a semi hurry...I sold out man, I need stock.

Upside to being sold out is that I have the extra time to go do this little errand personally, enjoy myself a bit and maybe grab some personal stuff.

Most of the trip will be shopping/shipping pottery, seeds and trees....but I'm making time for some specific food trips and a little car parts browsing. A few sets of wheels and a semi disassembled Civic TypeR (EK9) might find their way into one of my containers.

Japan with a legit wad to blow.....it's a biggie for me, anxiety and excitement are way up :D

Had a nice time there in '17. Should of spent more time there. Horse pastrami is excellent! As was damn near everything I ate on the trip. I did like Sapporo quite a lot.

I've heard nothing but good stuff.

My sister went a while back and loved it.

The train and subway stations at rush hour are not places to be going against the flow.

We've hired a translator/guide service, so hopefully they'll help us silly tourists avoid being caught up in too many of those situations.

My brother the Obstetrician is fluent. he did well.over a year of immersion in country. After the Tsunami which impacted the area he had been in, he went over for a while and volunteered doing general medicine.

He would be an amazing tour guide if I can ever get over there when he goes. At some point, paying for med school he worked as a California tour guide for Japanese tourists.

My kid spoke a little Japanese and could read a bit of kanji. Signage was excellent.

If you see something that looks like this, you may not want any plants from that area.

Toxic waste dump?

It's bags and bags of the top 2 cm of soil scraped off habitable areas. By now, all the radionuclides causing the issue with the top 2 cm where soil wasn't scraped have worked their way down and might even be taken up by the plants.

Well, some might be in the seeds, but probably not any of the plants I'm collecting, most of those will have been in pots for quite some time.

Yea, chasing down the sweetest white or maybe red pine I can afford is what's going down immediately after I get bidnizz handled.

Likely so. I'm told they're taking down some of the roadsigns.

Who knows, maybe I'll get super green thumb powers from the radiation instead of an ass tumor.

Probably not, but I'll hope for it anyhow.

Still alive and kicking here. No Covid and no vaccine yet. How about everyone else?

Either I was one of the first in my area to have it, I had an asymptomatic case at some point, or I am naturally immune. I have not been febrile for over an entire year and the chance I had no contact with a Covid19 patient is nil.
