Begin impeachment proceedings the day after the new congress critters are sworn in, in early Jan. Nothing can actually happen until after the inauguration, but why wait any longer than necessary?
Of course, Trump will probably win in 2020, so this is almost certainly moot.

Just hope they will eventually die off. It's how much of the progress happens (however you define "progress" and irrelevant to whether you agree to it), opposition isn't swayed, it just falls into obscurity and die out, eventually physically of old age or otherwise. Even scientific progress happens mostly this way. That's why untimely introduction of practicall immortality will collapse society.

1) If the Dems win the election they have already convinced a majority of the people to agree with them and therefore have done away with divisiveness and violent rhetoric automatically for that majority. Unless you want to count that coming from the opposing side, as has been done through the Obama and (especially) the Trump administrations.
2)If the Dems win, why should they worry about divisiveness and rhetoric when the opposing side has for years used the self same attacks and poisonous diatribes you list, especially during the Donalds reign as in,"shut the fuck up we have the power and we will do what ever we want!"
It takes two sides to make a peace. Until BOTH sides are willing to compromise you ain't gunna see an end to the name calling, bombastic hyperbole and stupid ass tactics used now.
We cycle through civility and idiotic behavior in congress on a regular basis. Back in the 1800's one senator caned another on the senate floor so bad the one caned couln't return to congress for over a year. We've returned to that point, albeit using words rather then a cane. Perhaps soon it will agian cycle 'round to the civil side.

When they (the modern Liberal Party) lose elections, then they declare the majority's choice as illegitimate, so with ballot-harvesting and other nefarious methods, it would be more than fair to say that any Democrat majority would be illegitimate on the face of it.
