Unusual make-up and a wig in a different style and colour would produce the same effect. Look at the differences between actresses on the red carpet and slumming around in their own neighbourhood. Very few look like their public image without hours of work.

You could dye your bush and pretend to be a real redhead/blonde/whatever.

I used stage make-up on my beard because it washes off. I hoped that it wouldn't rain while I was on parade...

I used Jessica Rabbit for my AV when I first could have one, but I took the plunge (I think round 1000 posts) and put up a full naked one of me, and since all those compliments came in I've jsut about always used me AV's, and if it's not me it's a pic ora cartoon -something obviously not me.

I switch on and off, though most AVs are of me. I'm a bit of an exhibitionist as well and not only started using me as an AV as soon as I could, but also made an am pic thread and then moved up to a Yahoo group and now that it's gone, I'm back to using pics of me for AVs.

And Cloudy is hot.

I never really thought about it. I just had a picture of me, so I put it up. When I got a better picture of myself I switched. I have an av on another board I frequent that isn't me, but that's the first time I've done that. It's an animated GIF that I like.
