Is America being browned, or blended?
I wonder what we are chucking into the melting pot.
I know, for a fact that we discriminate against young men of color,
But, on the other hand, young women of color we do tend to find erotic and desirable.

I have no problem with people of color as long as they aren't preying on society with lawlessness and brutality. I do have a problem with Muslims and others who refuse to assimilate and except our culture. We have a right to our culture. If they want to live their culture, don't come here.

People of the 500 Nations feel the country suffered a massive White Out.

How about white lawless brutes, no problem there? How about Chinese living in Chinatowns? Koreans in Koreatowns? Italians in South Philly? Oh, that’s right, you’re only worried about brown people and Muslims.

Young women of color face discrimination as well, particularly those of darker hue. Those with light skin also face benefits in society. Colorism is still prominent in the justice system.

"Villanova researchers studied more than 12,000 cases of African-American women imprisoned in North Carolina and found that women with lighter skin tones received more-lenient sentences and served less time than women with darker skin tones.

The researchers found that light-skinned women were sentenced to approximately 12 percent less time behind bars than their darker-skinned counterparts. Women with light skin also served 11 percent less time than darker women."http://prospect.org/article/colorism-and-criminal-justice

When I turn on the television, interracial relationships/marriages are regularly displayed, something that wasn't as prominent twenty years ago. Interracial unions are quickly on the rise. I do welcome such unions, however, I do not believe they are the cure to end bigotry.

Take for example, Brazil, a multiracial society in which colorism still persists. If everyone eventually became 'multiracial', humans would still fight over petty shit such as 'whose hair is straighter', 'whose eyes are lighter', or 'whose skin is lighter'. I hope I am wrong.

He is very colorist.

Maybe the immigration process should include a stronger emphasis on asimilation.

Turn in your foreign headgear and wardrobe for Duck Dynasty-wear and Yankees hats, that sort of thing.

Spread immigrants out; assign them to live in disparate regions of america for the first 5 years.

Mandatory English proficiency and Civics education.

Make it “easier” to embrace becoming american without erasing their backgrounds completely.

As the board's token angry black woman, are you being honest enough to admit that even blacks discriminate against those with the darkest sink tones? or better yet that black people can be bigoted towards white males while at the same time trying to get into the pants of white women?

If you don't want to be an American and accept our unique culture, don't come here. Simple.

Assimilate?

Another sterling example of how we got Trump instead of Secretary Clinton; the unbridled hate towards your fellow Americans who just have a different opinion/culture and the assumption that anyone who does not agree with you is a toothless, racist, homophobic, xenophobic "deplorable." You do not want to sell your ideas, you just want to denigrate your potential "buyers."

we are certainly continuing to be a huge melting pot....which is our heritage.....which is fine...…

what is NOT fine is the invasion of ILLEGALs who come here, multiply 3 or 4 times faster than Americans - suck up billions of dollars of our resources...…refuse to assimilate and even denigrate our country, our flag, and our heritage

that is what is NOT ok.

as far as any reference to color - i know for a fact that we all bleed the same color.....that God made us all.....and that we are all more the same than different......despite what current media and society would like to have us think

Muslim is a religion, where did notAJ mention religion?

*chuckle*

I don't have to defend myself, but you have to defend those guys over there...
