With all of the commentary in the news down here lately about the cost of gas, and the advent of the Hybrids I got curious.

What kind of car or vehicle do you drive/ride and why? What kind of gas mileage are you looking at?

Me? I drive a 2003 Chevy Tracker. It goes everywhere I want to go including off road. It gets up to 35 MPG depending on my driving style. (530 miles on a 15 gallon tank.)

I also ride a 1981 Honda CB750c with Alzheimers, (It often forgets how to run) When it runs it gets 45 MPG and is an absolute blast to ride.

'95 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 V10 - 9mpg - personal
'05 Toyota Tundra 4X2 V6 - 16mpg - work

2000 Mercury Sable, 27 mpg.

Hubby drives a '96 Saturn SL-1. It gets 42 mpg. :D

Both of these get us from point A to point B, wherever those points may be. We use them for everything, including road trips.

'05 chevy Tracker that has an attitude...

It gets pretty good milage, and gets me to school, it's all that matters

Dirty battered white 96 Ford Aerostar because it's paid for and I can put almost anything into it-- from passengers to treestumps. And it's kind of invisible on the street. ;)

2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac...currently has 130k+ on the odo...it's supposed to get 19 city and 24 hwy but I've never checked it...I need to get somewhere...gas makes it go...I buy gas...end of story.

My wife has a 2005 Honda Civic...it sips gas, but it never goes on trips...I like to drive my truck. ;)

'92 Nissan heavy duty longbed pickup with a home-made camper shell on the back. Bought new, but I didn't put AC in it until about ten years ago. Did I mention it was 104 today?

Honda Accord 2003
Toyota Echo 2005

And if I need to, there's a Ford 150 Truck. It's white and shiny and I have no idea what year it is.

My son now drives my old 1993 Geo Metro. The one that looks like a Little Tikes car. It refuses to die.

1998 Volvo 2.3 estate petrol (gas) 243,000 miles.
2002 Skoda Fabia 73,000 miles

Volvo gets 33 Imperial mpg on a run
Skoda gets 45 Imperial mpg on a run

And, until recently, 1957 BSA Bantam D3, 150cc - 120 mpg around town, 160mpg at its cruising speed of 35 mph. (flat out speed was 52 mph downhill with a following wind)
