I only did that years ago when I tried a script rewrite of an existing movie. In that case, I imagined the original actors in the roles. (I also added some new characters, some of which got assigned to even more actors.)

Of course, unless you're Kubrick say, screenwriters don't have that kind of power. In any case, it was so long that maybe it would have worked as a mini-series (in my dreams). It was fun to do anyway. Maybe I'll eventually do a prose series on this site.
