1) I have a beef with the reasons. I don't see why it has to be in a certain paragrap format, every author has there own style. Stupid!

2) Can somebody please help me edit it to where it will be approved?

Check out he Editor's Forum. There are a lot of people asking for stories to edit. I have a couple of recommendations if you want to PM me. My first attempt was rejected for the same reasons. Editors are helpful beyond words (and can help point out flaws before you start getting creamed by the critics).

It may be your formatting is just hard to read on screen :)

If you need someone to look over, I'll help but I'm not an editor of any skill, I can barely edit my own work to be honest *L*

Thanks, I posted there. Hopefully someone is willing to help.

I'd love for you to help.

As for proper editing, that's not even what I'm looking for. I'm not going to change my story in any major way...I just want to tweak it so I can get it approved. =(

Most editing doesn't involve changing the story, just little things that its easy to miss as the author, because you are so familiar with the text of the story. Most editors will check spelling, grammar, format, and with regard to the actual story make 'suggestions', but no-one is going to tell you to do this, do that, that's not what they're about.

Good luck second time around.

Long paragraphs can be really difficult to read on a computer screen, if that was the problem. If there was a different reason, it could simply be that they want the stories posted on their site to be visually consistant. Who knows?

Best of luck! :)

Tickle, darlin'....

Make sure you run it repeatedly through spell-check, then print out a copy and spell check by hand. Otherwise, you'll get the spelling errors message....

Sorry... I'm a bit peeved at whoever has been previewing my stories for the last couple months. Not only are they twits, but they're petty as well.... One story was rejected because the Finnish swear words set off the spell-checker, apparently. ^.^

I had one a while back, in NonHuman, about two centuries old demonic creatures (all of this being touched on in the story) that was rejected for underaged sex.

I guess you have to be over 500 if you're a demonic avatar.....

Falling, I worried about using some Italian phrases in a story for that reason, so I added a comment in the "Notes" section to please not automatically reject the story for speelong. :D It worked, and the story was posted with no problem.

Heh, I had it listed as an Author's Note at the top of the page. I thought they'd catch on when it said "All foreign language curses researched online."

It's a pretty glum experience getting your first effort rejected.

Happily it's not about content at all. Some standards have to be met and those are dictated by the site. My waterloo is "how to make your characters talk". There is a very good How To written, which I appreciate.

I was taught to be 'creative' when writing so I tend to make up words (her pussy was thrumbling) along with lot's of ....'s and ----'s, lol, btw this got my work rejected asap.

That this Site insists on a Standard seems to me to be a Very Good Thing. And, really a fairly easy hoop to jump through. My only question is: the two stories of mine that got rejected -- are they worth re-writing and re-submitting.

Sympathies on your first, let's hope we'll be reading your efforts soon!

Yes and yes. Assuming they only got rejected on technicalities, give 'em a spruce down and send them out there. The world deserves to see them.
