So many firsts...

Nice job on both the needles and cutting. Thanks for sharing. Did You learn any tips or tricks that You can share?
Here's a couple:

Be aware of medications your bottom may be taking. Blood thinners, even aspirin, can make your partner bleed more. This isn't a bad thing, just something to be aware of.

Clean the area thoroughly, sterilize the skin as much as possible by wiping with alcohol. Start in the middle of the area and work your way out to the edges. You can use Betadine or Iodine if you and your pyl don't mind the reddish skin coloring, and your pyl is not allergic to Iodine.

There's no such thing as "to clean" when you are deliberately breaking the skin.

Wear latex or nitrile gloves, even if you and your partner are fluid bonded. Nasty germs and stuff hangs out under your fingernails. Unless you are going to do a surgical scrub and get under your nails real real good, wear gloves. Wear the gloves anyway.

Be aware of your partners skin type. Folks of African descent are more likely to develop scars because they are more likely to develop keloids. Don't cut deep, most of the sensation is in the top 2 - 3 layers of skin. Deeper cuts are more likely to scar. Shallow cuts heal quicker.

Even if the cuts heal without scarring, flushing skin, sunburns, or hot showers may bring them out. Do not let someone cut "Stupid Cunt" across your shoulders unless you want to be explaining it to someone next summer...

If your partner has large breasts, don't do horizontal cuts (-----) above the centerline of the breasts. Gravity pulls DOWN and the cuts will tend to pull open and scar. Vertical cuts ( | ) are not so bad. Horizontal cuts below the centerline aren't so bad either because gravity will help hold the cut closed.

*grins* I could go on, but that's enough for now.

Evil_Geoff, why did You attach string to the needles. Was it for aesthetic reasons or something else?

Partly for aesthetics (lacing two rows like that is called "corsetting") but also it allows me to remove more than one needle at a time... I can pull 2 - 3 needles on each side by pulling the strings at the same time.

Also, the needles used for that scene were 22 gauge by 1-1/2 inches long.

You insert the needles just under the skin, run them along and poke them back through. You can also make a short run, poke out, then back in the skin and through for a second run...

If you want to do some decorating, you can run clean unused thread or fishing line through the needle, then withdraw the needle leaving the line under the skin... Christmas ornaments, weights, clothes pins, etc can be hung from the line... :D

Out of curiousity sake, wouldn't it hurt more to pull them out two at a time by a string? I mean at that point I don't think the person'd care, but . . . well, like I said, out of curiousity sake.

i don't know how i would feel about having string running underneath my skin. It's giving me the same reaction as hearing fingernails run across a chalkboard just thinking about it. This reaction wouldn't stop me from trying it out though. i would try most anything at least once. i am finding this fascinating.

You also have to make sure you have sterilised them well if they are going to be inserted, same as needles etc. With cottons and threads, dye allergies can also be another issue to watch.

kailey, congrats.

needle play and cutting are hard limits for me - i get squeamish about any sort of skin penetration.

Thanks! i have so many things that i am curious about and want to try. i am impatient about trying them all but J has a lot more self-control than i do so He is doing things slowly. He knows best. As a good subbie should, i will go with the flow.

oh, i got a few firsts of my own weekend before last...

first caning, first paddling, uhm... second flogging, lol...

Thanks for the tip. Can this be done with regular old rubbing alcohol?

I guess you could, though I would suggest buying the medical alcohol instead. We bought a huge bottle via the internet which is still going strong.

Saturday, I was the first person to ever do needle play on a Domme friend... *smiles softly*
She's kind of "old school" in that she believes she ought to experience the things she wants to do to her subs/bottoms before she does it to them.

That much trust is an awesome thing!

Did she like it?

That was my thought process when I did needles for the first time and then zowie liftoff! Who knew?

thanks ^^

is it terrible that I had a really hard time taking his heart shaped paddle seriously? i had to go out and buy a different shape, heh...

and the caning wasn't as terrible as i was afraid it'd be. in fact, he'd been planning on using that as punishment only for me, but my reaction was so mild he's looking for something different now, cry.

*giggles* I'd have a hard time with that too. I mean it's one thing if I own a heart shaped paddle and you want to use it on me, it's another when my big strong domly type owns one. If that's judgemental so be it, but if a guy ever pulled a heart shaped paddle out of his bag of toys I'd be laughing so hard it would ruin everything. . . course then I might get paddled harder as well. ;)

in the paddle's defense i had perfectly heart shaped bruises on my behind for a few days

*giggles* That I don't doubt. ;)

I've always had a fance towards those ones with the words cut out....I thought we could try to get a good imprint of "slut" on my ass and see how we like it. But that would have to be my toy, again the idea of him having it in his collection just sends me into tears giggling *giggles*

lol! he had a "slut" paddle, too, but it didn't work. Thank god.

it's good to have a dom with a sense of humor ;)

I just wouldn't be able to keep a streight face from the moment he showed me them. And you gotta watch them sadists with a sence of humor...next thing you know you're the proud owner of a bra lined with tacks.

I believe the expression she used was "I floated home :) " *grins*

Yes... she enjoyed it. A lot! Indeed, who knew!

:D Of course it would hurt more... that's the whole point. Or as I tell them after removing several of them gently... "those were for you. THESE are for me!" *YANK* :D

I watched a scene like this the night I met you. It looked interesting. Though I dislike needles a lot, it's something I would certainly try with the right person.
