Yeah, a birthday party for my friend. I got invited to the pre-party, so that meant lots of free booze and barbeque on a wintry (but rather nice and spacious porch) and the general stuff dj's and friends do. Which reminds me to stuff MC Degree into the closet while he is drinking - that guy can't handle himself drunk.
Anyways, it's Feb. 12th. Valentine's Party weekend and it is time to go about to the clubs which was the party and all. So we got to Likwid Lounge of all places - I say ok and we go. I have no idea what the theme is to this party and stuff and I'm a wee bit inebriated (thanks to kaz's tardiness, she offered us rides with her sobriety). I end up there and where do I end up? F'n Black Valentine's Party.
Eyebrows raised as I didn't know this is where we were going to but accepted it as the music was good and stuff. Lots of new wave, darkrave, EBM, Industrial and death trance. Good stuff. So the crowd was quite varied from goths in full out PVC dresses to candykids in bright pink legwarmers. Chains freely given by charitable vendors. Mind you, I should mention, that this is the first time I have ever been to such a party as I mostly stick to raves and the sort.
So yeah, after it all I've been kinda stricken by the image of the dhokechain wrapped around the neck, wrapped around the lady's waist.
So.... other's first experiences anybosy else want to share?
For those wanting to know, me hitting on girls was tried but as successful as any ol' bloke so maybe next time, heh.
