When I did jury duty - I'm now far too old - the problem with the courthouse was that too many people attending were the defendants and their relations.

They might have been wearing their best clothes but most still behaved like the assholes they were eventually proven in court to be.

You don't find many good people as defendants in lower courts. Murderers are a better class of defendant.
