well, unless i find a new job. they just told me to not sign up for any more shifts in the new year a few hours ago... ah well, i was thinking about looking for something different anyway, but somehow it's still a bit annoying. so, anyone have a (part time) job for me? i can't really do anything (though i speak a few languages no one seems to have use for), and i am very lazy and unorganized... or now would be a good time to get that brilliant idea for a best-selling novel, that i have been waiting for...

*HUGS* Munachi.

Don't have any ideas, but I'm sure a smart lady like you will do well.

thanks!

hm, i wonder if they have any jobs as internet-forum-tester... i am good at that...

I'd leave that off the CV. :D

hm, okay... so that brings the cv back down to... lemme see... zero words... um...

The languages you can leave.

It's the lazy and disorganized you shouldn't point out.

Just like I leave being mentally ill off of my resumes. ;) It's not a good selling point.

ah okay... but i suppose i should rename the languages "no one seems to have use for" with "rare, exotic languages" or soemthing like that... hm and maybe there is also a synonym for lazy and unorganized that sounds nice?

anyway, i think i will try to apply at a museum here that has students working as "hosts" to help guests who can't speak german with questions about the museum and things like that... or maybe as a tourist guide... problem is of course that anything in the tourist business is easier to find in spring than in fall...

Independent and creative thinking.

Euphemisms are fun.

Personally I think go action/adventure! With lots of sex of course...

Sorry to hear about the job! :(
I'm sure you'll be able to find something!

Sauerei, das mit dem Job.
What about something like waitress?
Or chambermaid: make up the beds of the english, portuguese, spanish, swedish, romanian guests, write about it, test them (beds or guests or both), write about it ... ;)

Linquistically gifted part-time writer seeks gainfull employment in an organisation where her ability to multi-task and organise can be given full range. Anything legal considered.

Good Luck Munachi. :rose:

nah, waitress would be one of those jobs i would only go for if i really can't find anything else... and chambermaid is i guess similar to what i just did in my old job - i was cleaning and making the rooms in a hostel (no trying out of guests and beds though)... thinking to try to find something more cv-worthy and challenging and so on this time. but i will see...

yay that sounds good. now i will just print it out and send it everywhere, and i should have a new job by tomorrow (ha, before my old one even is over)... thanks!

From your reference to German, I presume that you are in Germany. Why not try one of the big German newspapers to work on their "overseas desk?" They need someone to read articles from foreign language newpapers and journals for possible use in their German newspaper.
