So, I went to the local porn shop yesterday

to pick up the man's father's day gift from me. I thought it was extremely busy for a weekday afternoon, but hell, I was there too.

Anyway, after I bought my purchases<a dvd and the beaver, (thanks lilminx), batteries and some "wet"> I was leaving the store and this guy held the door open for me and was chatting me up.

Would you approach someone at a porn shop, or do you think it is okay to be approached?

We have a wonderful porn shop and everyone chats with everyone else. It is very diverse. Has jewelry, clothing, toys and videos. There are younger people who just hang out. Interesting place....

He was pretty cool about it. I didn't feel uncomfortable, but my first reaction was to be completely offended and think"OMG it's a fucking porn store, why the hell would I look at anyone in a porn store?!?!?" but then I realized I was there too.<giggle>

hmm....our local porn store is quite shady
Been there only a couple of times, and people there usually wear hats and sunglasses. Wish we had one of those "diverse" supermarket porn stores, so I can get a cup of coffee before I start shopping.

i went in with my best friend and my brother and hubby and as we went in we were approached by the store clerk or whatever and said id's please real loud and then she grabbed me and put her arm around me and said well not this regular...lol

This one has its seedy side, too. More like a head shop of my youth. It is in an old brick building with the brick showing on the inside, lots of incense...comfortable for a porn shop.

We have a local shop here that's great. Not seedy at all. Most people just mind what they're doing, but sometimes there are some chatty ones asking about particular titles, looking for suggestions. Some will offer an unsolicited opinion if they notice what I'm looking at. I rarely go there without my husband, though, so it hasn't been uncomfortable for me. Sometimes I think my husband is more uncomfortable than I am there.

If they were one of those coffe shop/head shop/porn stores, I'd see if they would sell my drawings there, but, I don't think I really want to be part of this particular one.

Well Perky My lady and I don't get the chance to go often. But considering most of the people there are protesting the place (That is when they aren't shopping there) nobody seens to talk much. They just wait when nobody is looking to purchase an item. Go figure well thats the bible belt for ya.
