So I sort of gave up on the University job

because it's been something like three weeks since I interviewed and no call. But the dept head called Friday and said they were calling my refernces, that I was a "final candidtate" and i should hear from them next week.

I'm excited! It's part time, so I can do all the mom-crap I've been doing and not get stressed out (I get stressed easily) even though it looks like my husband will be moving away next year for a year...

and it will be FABULOUS to work in an English Dept. So much fodder for prof/student fantasy!!!!

Got the call last night...they made a provisional offer, as long as I pass the background check. I don't forsee any problems there...
I start in January, so I have a couple months more of being a lazy bum...
