Funny thing is I'm three chapters in on an M/S story-a bit of a darkish one-where the mother led the son on sexually when he was 18 and she had a drinking problem, the father caught them and tossed her out and three years later the son, now also drinking too much is obsessed with her to the point he is paying older escorts to role play as his mother....meanwhile real mom has been sober for two years, but is also a sex worker and he finds her only fans...etc etc...

I have the title and it would work great for the OP, but mine first Nyah Nyah

You could even go further down that rabbit hole and mom isn't a prostitute but a taxi-dance hall girl set in the 20s-40s, who occasionally will take a fella who meets her standards, home for a fling and a few extra bucks. I don't always follow this philosophy, but I do when it's mom-son incest, because, let's face it, it's a ridiculous category, and in almost every case it's based on absurdly implausible scenarios. So just have fun with it and try to maximize your readers.

I'm currently writing my own Mom / Son story, and have fully embraced this philosophy.

I'm calling it "Mom's Backseat Boy."

I'm working on a story [gasp] and currently can't think of a worth while or any title at all at the moment. I don't even have a working title, it's just Document(4) in my file list. Some ideas to steal point me in the right direction. I've been trying to think of something substantial and not cheesy

So it's an incest story where a guy is looking for his mom to reconnect with her in the next city over. He meets and starts to build a somewhat relationship with a prostitute, who turns out to be his mom and niether knew until they started having feelings for each other.

Best advice I was given.....
Choose one of your favourite lines from within the story...
Every story throws up a few lines that stand out. Grab one of those...

Consider whether you might want to add additional stories and make this a series at some point. That will make a difference in how you phrase the title of this first installment

Reunion with Mom, A Mother's Reunion, either of those works here because of the key word in the title.
I'd leave the sex worker angle out of the title and tag line, some of the mom son purists who want the son to be mom's only lover could get put off early so try to get them invested first

I like these too. and that's a good idea. The somewhat twist is you don't know she's his mom and that would give it away, as well.

I did pick Simons The Mom He Never Knew, as a working title. Reunion With Mom sounds good, it's short- both sound like something I'd have thought up. All these suggestions, I might be able to piece some words together.

This was what I did when I had a lot of trouble with a title once.

Four person femslash based on the film Upside of Anger. Characters are the four young female leads. Each has their own crazy resentments they’re bringing in as they need to start making the film and get closer. I want to get them into a friendly swap foursome as soon as I can while keeping it hot and realistic. Also bringing in lots of other media, as is my way, basing the characters heavily on the Sex & the City leads and doing a Breakfast Club meeting of the minds type thing. My 4th story overall in the Hollywood swinging fanfic genre.

Pressure was on. I got it finished, didn’t have a title. “The Upside of Femslash” sounded too lame. “The Upside of Anger: The Daughters” didn’t sound right because my characters were the actresses playing the daughters and not the daughters themselves. I had no other ideas. Then I realized how frustrated I was getting, wrote in the Eve 6 song Inside Out for the climax scene, heard its chorus “Rendezvous, now I’m through with you!” Boom, there was my title. “The Rendezvous”. Still not sure it works sometimes. At least 17 years later, most fans still like the tale.

Both are what's happening and it works with the missdirection in the story.

I got enough written to start uploading, but now another challenger appears! Dungeon boss music plays, from the shadows with 500k HP comes stalking in The Story Blurb. That one short ass sentence(I swear is shorter than it used to be) intended to convey the entire (28k/8chapter currently) story.

So far I got; "He reunites with his mom..."
-He reunited with his mom...
-A reconnection they never knew would happen
-A mother & son relationship on another level
-Discovering his mom in a new way
Why's this shit being difficult...
