I don’t want to live here anymore. I love California, but I need to get away. From everyone & everything. I’d been thinking about this for a while, but it was always sort of a “It would be cool if..” type of thing.
I’m not planning on doing this too soon. Maybe by February.
So……………… any suggestions?

I'm too used to Califonia weather. Maybe cold. Cold sounds good.

Maine

Its about as far away from it all while still being able to drive to somplace....

WV is nice....cold, but not too cold......perfect!

yeah, I know we get a bad rap, but........whatever! lol

New York

Moving to New York would probably be good for you.

1) Big city
2) Culture - museums, theatre, restaurants
3) Within a 3 hour drive, you have skiing, beach, Mountains etc.
4) Within a 4 hour drive, you have Boston and D.C.
5) Quicker to fly to Europe

etc. etc. etc.

Rambrat you might be too much of a sissy for the cold...

*squinting*
Me? a sissy?
I'm spoiled, but I'm no sissy.

hotlittlegirlwv Hmmmm......now I wanna move to New York!!! lol
Too many people.

I am concidering Maine. Not Siberia though

Canada

BC has really mild winters, yet it's cooler than Cali... and there's lots of nature, and some great culture up here...

And I'm here... :D

Come north to MN,

Cold is where it's at don't even need fridge half the year just leave outside.
No worries about ice
Getting back to nature here not hard just have shake the bed cover to chase animal off your bed.

Yay! I'd get to visit Vixen. And better yet. My family would have to use their passports to come visit me!

With the two cats that we have never have live mouse in house or within 1/2 mile of our place. But like to show what they have been up too for the day.

You forgot to mention that she'll be paying $2000 a month for an apartment the size of my walk-in closet. Other than that, I agree with you. I love New York and if money were no object, I'd probably move there too.

J.B., I moved from California to Connecticut two years ago. The winter nearly killed me, I swear. I had no idea how bitter cold could be. We CA natives are spoiled indeed.

Reno is a nice city. Four seasons, but realatively mild compared to the east. San Francisco is 4 hours away, L.A. 8.

yeah. it's psychotically expensive here j.b. i must blow thru about two hundred dollars a week just on miscellaneous day to day expenses. i'm lucky in that i've got a very good deal on my tiny little studio...but the energy here is amazing.if you can tap into it it's an infinite source of inspiration and fun.

acitore_vuli Boston is New York's bitch.

Yeah. What about Boston?

Glam IRL I'm a dork. I don't really look for that spark of the city. I hate it. I'm tired of it. I've lived in a major city my whole life. Not that I want to live in Hicksville either... somewhere in the middle.
