So I have this really frustrating problem

For some reason.... even though I'm a woman who is working her way towards 30 (a little over two years and I'll be there)..... I can't seem to stop being told how 'cute' and 'adorable' I am.

That's all well and good, but it makes me feel like I'm a puppy. Puppies are cute and adorable, and babies, and teddy bears. Women want to be sensual and sexy. No matter how much I try, I can't escape the 'cute' compliments, which are all really appreciated, but jeeze........ where does someone buy 'sexy' from? Even when I TRY to look sexy.... I'm just 'adorable'.

Hmmm...

Try smoking and drinking heavily for about...five to eight years, nonstop. You'll get that good "roughage" quality that can't be faked and will leech the cuteness from your skin like flypaper scraped over ripe acne boils.

Plus your voice will get all throaty and stuff, like Selma from the old TV show Night Court. Guys go apeshit over that.

Lol... I'm 1 Year away from 30 and I get the same thing. It's not derived so much from how… but more from the way I act/the things I say... my idiosyncrasies. I especially get it at work and when I start to have decent conversations with people I am getting to know. (When they know me well enough that soon changes )
For some reason, it bothers me more when it comes from males... and even though I think people often say it as a compliment, they don't quite realise that a women approaching her 30's might want to be seen as 6 year old with pig tails, fluffy chicks, kittens or panda bears.
Personally... I don't think people often pull of 'sexy' when they are trying to act it. Have you ever asked your compliment givers why they think you are cute?

I think I understand your problem.

As for me, I prefer mature women. Not someone that is in high school. Cute girls are in high school. They don't know what they want, too easily lead astray by the latest craze, etc. etc.

So I think I understand your problem. Most certainly you enjoy being admired and perhaps even shared some photos of your lovely and confident self. Only in the end to be called "cute." On the other hand, you wants to grow old? (trust me it sucks)

My advice, embrace your self. Your personal style and be confident in your own skin. As a suggestion, have you considered cutting your hair? Something a bit more sophisticated
