Just published my 750 Word challenge story "You Hear The Bullet" in Loving Wives, my first story in that category.

I'm still not 100% sure it truly belongs in that category but it's the closest one it fit into.

Anyway, so far it totally meets my expectations in that it's my fastest voted story and also my lowest rated lol.

Comments haven't been brutal, yet. But I'll give it time, it's still early.

Brave enough for the snake pit of LW? In that case ...

in the immortal words of Kipling,

"By the living God that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din."

You definitely published it in the right category. You'll get more people reading it this way, and you already have 4 comments. By the standards of its category, it's doing well.

I kinda figured it was the right category, it didn't really fit Erotic Couplings. Still, I don't really read too many LW stories so wasn't sure it truly met the criteria.

It's got like 19 comments already now, so if I base "success" of of that then it's a winner, despite the many negative ones lol.

It's all good, I fully expected the mixed reactions. Its very much a Love It or Hate It story.

I just read your story. 5!

It will do well in the LW category, since the husband got even. The trolls can't call him a cuck or wimp.

Thanks!

Several of them are upset I didn't definitively punish the cheating wife, although I certainly left it open for interpretation.

And someone chided me because they don't approve of murdering someone for cheating, like my story in any way implied that I do lol.

Even though the LW category says it's for "Swinging, sharing, and more", the trolls hate anyone who shares.

Burn the B and the guy who did her, and the story gets the trolls salivating.

Read Prince020402's comment. This is what you encouraged; hope its worth your quest for votes and comments.

I will neeeever understand why readers take characters and storylines so personally, so literally, so seriously. Especially on one off short stories where they haven't even had a chance to get invested in the plot. That is all. Grown men salivating over the keyboard waiting to slut shame a FICTIONAL. CHARACTER.

The world is not all unicorns, rainbows, and sunshine. The trolls are who they are, regardless of the stories we write. The stories merely bring them out into the open.

The STORY I wrote had nothing to do with any "quest for votes and comments, " per say.

I mean okay, yes, I wrote it in response to the 750 Word Challenge.

But I didn't SET OUT to intentionally draw trolls and negative comments. I had an idea, and I wrote it.

It wound up in LW because it was the most fitting category for it. Believe me I'd have published it under another if I thought it fit.

It is what it is, and I know enough to know what happens to THOSE stories.

So I'm simply embracing it, and having a good laugh.

I like my story. Not my best, but I had fun writing it.

Some are enjoying it. Some are trashing it. And that's okay.

That's totally the right attitude to Loving Wives!!!!

With as many people on the forums here that are seemingly working hard at either getting their wives to fuck other men or currently happily relating stories of their wives fucking other men..

Eh . . . what?

I ...With as many people on the forums here that are seemingly working hard at either getting their wives to fuck other men or currently happily relating stories of their wives fucking other men.. Why is there so much hate for the stories that would seem to have a very appreciative audience?

I'm not trying to sound judgemental, that whole lifestyle just isn't my thing, and I don't understand it. It's clearly very popular on this site, and yet those stories often get no love.

Plenty of happy swinging/sharing/orgy/polyamorous stories across the rest of Lit. But the people who want to be judgemental about them are in LW.

LW bottom-dwellers basically have a fantasy-wife fetish. If you see their idea of a wife as a fetish they need, it makes a bit more sense. Unfortunately mainstream culture encourages them.

Me, I'll keep being a polyamorous bisexual despite it being way more boring than you might think.

My one venture to LW

My submissions to Literotica have been in the main in the Novels and Novella category. However, one of my readers (fan?) requested I write a story with his suggested plot line and so I complied, and he seemed to have liked my effort. The ensuing story is to date my only stand-alone story submission and I selected the LW category as the story seemed to me to be a better fit there than the interracial category albeit no denying it could have been included there instead. The story was titled "Gift of Love" and description was and I quote exactly: " Hubby with small penis gifts a well hung black stud to wife."

I submit even the densest amongst us could discern what the plot is about. I was aware of trolls in abundance in this category, but nevertheless I was surprised by the response. Within 24 hours of publication, I received 12K hits with 14 almost universally uncomplimentary comments. In contrast to my other submissions out of my 191 so far only sixty of them had been visited more than 12K times. And with the exception of one submission containing four comments every other submission contains two or less comments with zero comments being by far the overwhelming majority. My last submission was published in August.

I was very bemused as one of ubiquitous protests had to do with my apparent miss-categorization of my story insisting it belonged to the interracial category. One commentator said that was his reason for giving it a rating of one vote. I guess he was fearful that someone who really does like interracial stories might miss out on my story because of my inadvertence.

It was obvious although perhaps not to them that the majority of the negative comments had to do with the anathema, they feel with notion of a black man having sexual relations with a white woman. One reader actually took the trouble to send a private Literotica message imploring me that I ought to refrain from writing stories like that.

Now I can understand some people having an animus towards interracial sex. Why at one point in US history interracial marriages were illegal in some states. But my view is if you dislike interracial sex why read it? As I indicated I gave full warning in my description as to the plot.

I don't get it, either. I guess the basements are full of angry men, sitting at keyboards.

They're out there. I pretty much ignore them.

I suspect that they are the ones who were burned, either made a cuck or got caught cheating and in both cases they were wimps as they went through a divorce and lost everything to her.

I like writing LW stories. I like all the stupid comments I get. They give me a good laugh. Some I delete as I can tell the user didn't even read the story, just barfed out a comment and a 1-bomb.

And yes, as Winter_Fare has pointed out, these are fictional characters although by the reader comments you know they think it's a true story.

I get the biggest laugh out of the comments "I hope you and your wife die from aids." That's when you can tell they think the stories are true. That just spurs me on to write another, even more explicit LW story, just for them.

One thing I have noticed since the "pandemic" is that scores have been lower all around.

I got hammered when I published to LW. I was thinking I should post a story about a wife who is really cruel to her husband, then after 4 pages of that, he just shoots her dead. The end.

...maybe I wont.

Lol. If the reaction to mine is any indication, yeah you're probably better off not writing it, or at least that ending.

I'm still amazed how badly the intent of my story was misconstrued.

I was in no way condoning murder any more than any author or filmmaker that features murder in their stories condones it.

Yet several comments cheered the husband on as the "hero" of the story.

Nor was it meant to be a super titillating sex tale with a snuff ending. At 750 words, it's not like I had the ability to flesh out the sex scene.

Yet I also got accused of that: writing a tale to give incels with a murder fetish something to spank to.

Again, NOT my intent. At all.

That said, they're entitled to their opinions. All I can do is say the only real intent was to try and tell a dark , interesting and complete tale in 750 words. Nothing more or less.

I put a 750 word story in LW and was disappointed to only get 23 comments. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness of some, and bemused at the simplicity of others. Mostly, I just wish it had garnered about 4X as many comments... Oh well.

I gave it 5 stars. You did what you could with 750 words.

I like the Jenna stories better but it is good that you are trying other things.
