Mine was, shall we say incredible.

My wife and I wanted something a little different, so we picked up a roast the other day. As soon as we got it home I seasoned it. I hit it with a rub made with freshly ground Garlic, Onion, and just a hint of Sage. Not only did I rub it with this but I also injected it in several places. The roast was then wrapped tightly and placed in the fridge.

Today I decided I was going to cook it a bit differently than normal. On the way home from work I picked up several nice ears of corn. As soon as wel got home I set a bunch of woodchips to soak in beer and seasoned the corn with melted butter mixed with Garlic Pepper Seasoning. (I then recovered them with their husks.)

This evening I got the grill going and set the woodchips to smoking. I put the roast on over low heat and just let it cook. When it was almost done I added the corn to the grill while my wife made bisquits.

The roast came out increible. Tender and juicy with the right amount of smoke flavor. The corn was just as good, and what can I say about the bisquits?

And here I thought my tuna steak and taters was jazzing it up.

Oh hey, I love Tuna Steak.

How did you make it, if I may ask?

I had a lean cuisine dinner. It tasted like cardboard.

I have only 5 pounds to go to my target weight though for New Years (110 lbs). But then again I've trying to lose this last 5 pounds for several months.

Nothing seems to work.

And reading your post just added another pound.

Damn You!

Go read some of dollparts threads and you'll feel better about yourself.

110 pounds huh? either your mighty short or your trying to look like Twiggy. Either way let me give you a bit of a hint about weight. Unless it causes you health problems be happy with it. Most people who are honest would prefer a little muscle mass to skin and bones believe me.

I'll use as example my wife and our best friend. My wife stands five foot six and weighs in the neighborhood of 135 pounds. Our best friend stands five foot even and weighs 115. Both are absolutely beautiful. (I satnd five foot six and weigh 150 and people tell me I'm skinny. Then again I don't look like I weigh as much as I do.)

Now that sounds great. I'll have to try it the next time I get my hands on some Tuna Steaks. (I normally grill them.)

My wife and my parents would love this. I unfortunately can't eat Bi-Valves. (Got a bad one when I was younger and that ruined me for life.)

Had a big ol' filet mignon and garlic potatoes at the Outback this PM.

A Bloomin' Onion too.

Washed it down with some Foster's (two-for-one).

I love it when the kitchen's bein' remodeled (lol).

That tuna does sound tasty, though.

Maybe next time.

Peace.

Pita bread and spinach dip.

;)

I don't know if I would call that White People Food, although I would call it Snob Appeal Food.

Some of the best food I had growing up had Pita Bread as a main ingrediant. I had dinner in a Turkish Restaraunt. They served the food in bowls with large amounts of Pita Bread. You tore a piece off and used it to scoop/dip the food out on. I wish that I could again find a good Turkish Place so I could have that kind of food again.

My mother makes the best macaroni and cheese with rotinis, but all she had was bow-tie pasta. It was still pretty good, though a little watery, and not the greatness that I had hoped for when I asked for it last week.

I still had a plate and a half though :D

Do I dare? Yes I do dare.

A couple of weeks ago I was in a local Grocery Store looking fo some meat for dinner. On a whim I glanced in the specialty bin and just had to stop. There sitting on the top of the pile in one section was a package of Bacon Wrapped Fillets, marked at $1.00 a pound. Jackpot. I grabbed it and looked at the Best Beore date. It had been put out on that day. As my wife came up with the cart I tossed that package in the cart and looked at the other packages. I found ten more marked this way and added them to the cart. (They averaged at just over a pound and a half per package.) Yep someone screwed up on that one. Can you guess what we had for dinner that night? :D Can you guess what is sitting in my freezer right now?

These are treats though, something to have every now and then to break up the Chicken, fish and other cheap meats we usually dine on.

5' 5" and 21.4% body fat (and still a 36C). And I work out 1 to 2 hours a day 5 days a week.

Yea, I'm propably not gonna get any smaller. It was just a dream.

So....what are we having for dinner tomorrow night?

Five foot Five and 115? Damn. Are you trying to hurt someone? My mother would be asking you if you had been sick lately.

Dinner tomorrow night? Most likely leftovers with Garlic Mashed Spuds, and either Baby Carrots or Snap Beans.
