Since Napster is next to totally useless, mis-spellings don't even work any more, and Gnutella only works when the server that has your shit isn't busy. FTP sites/servers are totally useless since the Jr. High kids that run them don't know how to set permissions you can't log on half the time...you have no clue the pain I go through to get a song now. I might have to resort to *gasp* buying CDs again.

audiogalaxy is good but i dont prefer it. I still use Napster if i know exactly what im looking for.

But otherwise I use.

www.imesh.com its a program like napster but you can not only get mp3's but programs, videos all sortsa stuff.

also theres bearshare, audiognome, irc, and the few mp3 sites that dont have jack. lol.

I buy my music (having said that I am the proud possesor of Stairway to Heaven on 8-track, cassette, LP, and now CD and I rather do love Robert and Jimmy, but they could buy me several times over now, sorta wished they would. I bet they have great digs...).

Mystery, Napster still works for you? I was looking for 3 songs last night...2 by Recoil and one by KMFDM, searched by title and artist, and nothing came up, not even anything spelled wrong. Finally had to get them off of Gnutella. The last one finished coming in at 45 minutes and I have a cable modem for god's sakes.

get audio galaxy......its fast and furious there is also ftp there.....i have a cable as well and it takes only a few minutes

I simply steal CD's from the stores now. It's easy, It's fun and because you end up having to run really fast it takes less time.

napster works for old stuff.....but getting new stuff is almost impossible

I also use AudioGalaxy. I love it compared to Napster, because if you get disconted, it picks up where you left.

yea its just kinda hard. even with the mispelling them. Sometimes ya just gotta go by track number, or just the song title.

like the other day i was getting a bunch of Weezer stuff.

but i had to spell Weezer... wzr and i got hash pipe but i only found it put together as hashpipe.

I got a few U2 songs a while back and nothing would come up either so i went by track number, or just the name of the song and i got lucky.

you should really use something like Imesh or audiogalaxy, Napsters just sad. Imesh has the easiest interface so its all just big buttons. you never get messed up on what to click.
