I don't mean the names you use, I mean, why do people make thier names 'private', as in, why do you wish to not show up when you ARE online?


Hiding doesn't really work if you're posting, for instance, and well, we're all anonymous. I could be the butcher down the road from anyone, and would you ever know it?

Sometimes, particularly females, have had trouble with people waiting till they show up, and then following them around hassling them, both on the main boards and in Pms. The ladies I know found it easier to be here invisibly.
