All Trump really wanted was lots more rallies because all he's any good at is playing to a room filled with the already-converted without needing to do anything other than rant. He can't be assed with day to day politics for sure. It's why he loves the EOs and wants to rule by fiat rather than by consensus. History ought to tell him how that works.
