This is all so depressing. The gloaters who were talking about socialism bailing out capitalism, maybe by now they've figured out that socialism and social engineering are precisely why we're in this situation.
But John McCain is clearly as clueless as Obama, and he's not bothering to assign blame - most likely because he thought Fannie and Freddie were just marvelous.
