Without French aid (ships, troops, weapons, ammo, etc) the brief Revolution would have seen colonial traitors quickly caught and hanged for High Treason. More cheese, garcon.

Funny thing is, the Colonial Revolution was a sideshow in the global war accidentally begun by young George Washington, then a royal militia officer. Georgie was at the start and end of that whole mess. I love irony.
