Okay, so my city is supposed to get hit with a major storm today.... Companies are closing their doors early and everything...

SO what are we going to do to pass the time while we're snowed in?

We could do...the OP? :D
Hey, princess. How've you been? (other than snowed in)

Snow days happen a lot here....best days if you have power are spent snuggled up under blankets with a bunch of great movies, yummy tasting foods and drink.

without power...

pull out the coleman collection for 'campfire' delights and play monopoly!

I find that a nice roaring fire, some whiskey, and candle light are the best way to spend a snow day. Oh...and possibly internet porn...:D

Definitely going to light a fire.... that's mandatory. Hoping we get to keep our power! It's COLD outside!

Hi Tekkkkie and Riles!

So..... anyone wanna toast marshmallows with me?

'Sailer - do marshmallows go well with whiskey?

Never had a snow day in my life. Wouldn't know what to do. I don't like the fluffy stuff. I like my water in a liquid form...
I'm betting with your creative ideas you will be inspired to do some story telling...

I will bring the big Jumbo Marshmellows.....and some chocolate and the graham crackers

EVERY thing goes well with whisky. :D

Altough I do think that chocolate goes better. Skip the damn marshmallows...just go for the Hershey Bar.

I'll skip the whiskey - and you can have my chocolate if I can have your marshmallow, Sailer.

And what kind of stories do you wanna hear, Matt?

I'm definitely up for toasting marshmallows, one of my favorite activities!

You are most welcome to my marshmallow ....
hmmmm....somehow that one is just really hard to turn into a double entendre'

I hear bringing in a charcoal grill into your house in the midst of a massive winter storm is a great thing to do. It serves a few purposes. You can roast your marshmallows fairly easily. Also you can use it for warmth and really who doesn't love the smell of burning charcoal. Finally you can rest assured that eventually you will fall into a very deep and depending on your morals and beliefs a peaceful sleep.

Bad part is that your final meal would be a scorched marshmallow which although good in its own right would be a travesty. But think of not having to worry about dodging creditor calls, watching the Real Housewives of any fucking US city, the 8 different cake shows on cable now and never having to listen to Nancy Grace's irritating chalk board scratching voice again.

Hope all is well SJZ ;)

Is it wrong for me to say it is 76 outside here at the moment?.....

This reminds me of last year when a tree came down on a powerline connecting to our house, across our driveway in the middle of a BIG, BIG snow storm. We were without any hydro or water for 3 days/nights. Thankfully we keep a store room stocked with supplies and I have a karosene heater. We simply pulled the mattresses into the main room, put blankets over any open doorways and kept toasty warm inside. Thanks to my camping gear we were kept fed and happy.....other than a little cabin fever set in after day 2.

No hydro...and no water?! No way! :p

Shush YOU....I meant I had no water in supply....meaning nothing in stock. I had to melt snow.

Sheesh.

And it's a bigger concern than you think....I had a 100 head of cattle trying to live off of licking snow for 3 days. I was a busy girl melting and carrying buckets to the ones in the barns.

How about both strip off, lay down and make your imprint in the snow, then come inside and find a way of killing off the goosebumps in front of a log fire

I'm not gonna tone down the smart-assery just 'cause you're awesome. ;) I don't wanna be accused of being biased. Hehe.

Now you could play "Hunt the marshmallow" the rules being eat it where you find it:devil:

This might sound silly but I'm not too big on normal........

Coloring books, crayons, embroidery thread (friendship bracelets time!), Elmers glue, construction paper, glitter and you can make crowns.....! Um, beads and thread for necklaces and anything random you can find to keep your fingers and mind super busy. ;)

Or, you can just have Tek tell you about history.............and take a long winter nap! :D
