Snow

I can't feel too sorry for you, first week of Oct we got 20-some inches. 80% of the trees in my town are busted in half because they were still in leaf and the snow was really heavy...broke them clean in half. It's depressing driving around town. ND has few trees as it is, so seeing all the trees the city planted all cracked and broken is sad :(

It all melted withen a few days. Very freaky storm.
Hi serijules! Good to see you again. *smile*

Hi there! Good to see you too :) I'm like a tide around here, I come and go LOL.
I have been wondering if you left like some of the others did in the last few weeks. Good to see that you still come :)

That's the worst kind, cuz you can't really do anything about it and its dangerous.

Stay safe!

Be careful. We prefer you with your bones in one piece. And so do your kids, I'm sure.

*gives KC some hot chocolate*

i HATE snow. i hate it because i HATE the cold weather. i wouldn't hate snow at all if i could have snow and keep the warm weather that i enjoy so much during the spring and summer months.

We've been very lucky to have enjoyed an extra long summer this year here in Massachusetts. The cooler days (temps in the low 50s to high 60s) and nights (in the 40s-50s mostly) had only hit here (regularly) in the past couple of weeks.

On the 'up side', i'd had some fun with hiking in the drizzling cold in search of autumn colored leaves with the kids (our 3 girls, plus my niece and 2 nephews) this past weekend.

We returned home and placed our favorites between two sheets of waxed paper, and sealed the paper closed with a hot iron. We took a group photo afterwards, and will mail it along with thier 'stained glass leaves' to grandpa (he resides in Florida) who says that he misses the fall leaves each year but NOT the snow.

The wax papered leaves look awesome taped to our sliding glass door. The sun shines through, making the leaves look like stained glass.

Autumn (to me ... for me) serves as nothing more than a reminder that frigid temps and nasty snow are just around the corner.

i still HATE snow, but the leaves are kewl to look at ... for now.
