Turns out they were driving a blue Chevy Caprice...

Muhammad is a former Army marksman. Apparently he'd hide in the trunk and shoot through a hole.

The police attribute the white van to "erroneous witness accounts."

The White Van...

...contained the CIA operatives funding & supervising the spree to increase citizen Fear of Islam and trigger the George W. Foxworthy Gee-Had on EyeRack & Other RagHeads.

I saw it on X Flies.

Let's just hope they manage to try him in Virginia as well

I imagine they will. He'll get the needle for sure in Spotsylvania County.

Also for Prince William.

That's the challenge - of the three jurisdictions, VA is the only one with a death penalty.

Although MD is petitioning for Death Penalty status so that he can be sentenced in the event that its ever reinstituted

Label them as terrorists.........

The feds can then turn them over to a military tribunal and execution....next! :D

Isn't the death penalty there just on "pause" ?

More grist for the mill.

Though this guy........shooting a 13 year old kid.......Even I'd have to hold my Liberal nose and drop the flag.

Fire!

Fire!

That's the spirit!

The "pause" is indefinite. VA is the one with the temporary moratorium set to expire.

Methinks its time to pull out th echair...the rusty one with shorts in some of the contacts...

PW is more liberal than Spotsylvania. They'll have an easier time getting twelve jurors in SC with no qualms about putting this guy down. Hanover would be best of all, but their victim didn't die.

While being an advocate of the death penalty.........I gotta tell ya there is something to say for not being this easy on them. Can't they suffer a bit more? Do they not deserve at least that?

I know that sounds awful, but.............

There's no punishment that a government entity can provide. Even if we were an Islamic govenrment, with torture, cutting off body parts, etc., Nothing would be sufficient.

Just hand him over to the loved ones.

Especially the parents of the kid!

I did find out today why the FBI didn't assume control of the case. Some spokesperson said it was because of the differing penalties between jurisdictions for murder.

I think that means from state to state and from federal to state.

Okay, maybe it wasn't answered completely enough, but that's all I got from it.

:)
Lioness

uhhhhhh........thanks, that explains alot.

I know how you mean this, and completely understand the feelings. I also assume it's kinda tongue-in-cheek. I've heard the same kind of expression lots of times.

In truth, the families of victims (in these crimes and others) have already been through so much pain and anger, that to put them in the "limelight" during the trials and punishment of the criminals is IMHO, additional punishment for the victims' families. I think society owes it to the victims and families (and to society it'self) to "step-up" to its responsibilities and punish the criminals appropriately.

I'm a proponent of the death penalty in cases like this. However, I think the ONLY entity that has the right to exercise the death penalty is society it'self.

[Disclaimer]You might or might not like my opinions, but I'm not concerned with that. This post is part "fun" and part "those-fuckers-should-pay". Read if you like, don't read if not.

I agree. Strapping them to a bench, putting a needle in their arm, and letting them quietly go to sleep is WAY too easy of an exit. They should pay for what they did... they need to SEE and FEEL the pain they caused in the lives of so many others.

We could do this a number of ways...

We could tie them to posts, and shoot them from...oh... say 300m away... with a .223 rifle, and let them see how it feels. Stay away from the head and the heart... put a couple into their legs... maybe their arms... one in the belly... and then do it. Line them up at once so they can watch each other as it happens... like a round-robin. Then they would realize what they truly did to others, and how it feels like to be on the other end of the rifle.

Or... in a more "sporting" fashion... we could put them in something like an Arena Football field... a large empty field with 15 foot walls. Let them run around and -try- to hide, while snipers were placed randomly throughout the stands and bleachers... by the scoreboard, etc... taking shots at them... sometimes missing on purpose to strike fear before pain... Heck, even on top of that, we could give $10,000 to the one who made them suffer most - by popular vote.

;)
