Washington D.C. (AP) A Grand Jury wasted no time today returning a guilty decision in the case of a snail being tried for trademark infringement. The plaintiff, General Motors, said the snail had been at an ad agency which was working on the new campaign to unveil their lastest line of maintenance-free automobiles, the so-called S-Car.
The Attorney representing GM pointed out that during his time at the ad agency the snail had hidden beneath a large leaf of iceberg lettuce and overheard the tag line of the new campaign, "Just look at that S-Car go!" and proceeded to a french restaurant.
The defendant took too long to reach the stand, so he's also been charged with contempt of court.
