This is more of a humorous post, but it outlines the extraordinary lengths Russians go to lying.
As you may have heard, Russia has been ordered to shut down all but three of its consulates in this country. They had 48 hours to comply. Today in San Francisco, copious amounts of black smoke was seen coming from the roof of the consulate. So much smoke in fact, that the San Francisco fire department went out to make sure the building wasn't going to burst into flames (see first picture).
A reporter on the scene asked a man and a woman who were leaving the consulate about the burning going on inside the consulate. The woman answered, "There is no burning."
2 Russians just came out of Consulate with cases.
"What about the burning inside?"
"There is no burning," says the woman (See smoke video) pic.twitter.com/4tEQC7v9dT

It turned out, obviously, the Russians were burning as much evidence of their espionage activities as could be done as well as any notes on their collusion with the con artist during the presidential campaign.
So the next time you hear Putin say there are no Russian troops in Ukraine despite the thousands of freshly dead Russian soldiers being buried, or that hospitals in Syria were blowing up by themselves rather than Russia deliberately targeting them, remember this story.
