Smashwords format?

I was trying to format my first story to put on Smashwords and their instructions are a bit convoluted for an old man.

I was wondering if any of you who use SW had any tips for formating. I use MS Word and don't use all the Headers, and other gimcrackery that Mr. Bill adds.

I tend to use a .5" indent and a linefeed after paragraphs, is that too much for the meatgrinder to deal with?

Way back when...Smashwords liked to get it formatted as .5 inch indent and double spaced.

Personally, I just use the Lit. format block paragraphs and no indent. Smashwords doesn't seem to mind. One thing they don't like is .PNG files, so use .JPG files.

I have just recently had to change my Smashwords setup.
I change the entire document to the LibreOffice Default Style, with the font and size that I will use for the text. I then go through the document and change the individual lines that need to change size. indenture or position.
I used to have three, four or even six specific paragraph styles, but the grinder no longer likes that.
