Melody had noticed that a few of the younger people, students she assumed, just like her, were still standing around the door. She caught the girls eye, and slyly winked at her with a grin while patting the seat next to her. The girl looked nervous, and Melody knew quite well that she could be quite a calming influence when needed, and her instincts were telling her this girl could really use it. The guy beside her looked cute, but guys tended to not stay long once they found out about her "extra gift", and quite a few had gotten almost violent, despite Melody's influence.
She had kind of "felt" that the stories about this place were true, which was part of the reason she had come so easily, though with guys here as well, that made things a bit more tricky. The one thing she had hoped to find, like every other "normal girl" was someone who really liked her, and accepted her as she was, but that thing tended to give her more problems than pleasure most of the time.
Her mind wandered back to the only person so far, who had actually been willing to accept her as she was, a shemale named Daphne, who had been killed in a bar brawl about 9 months ago. She had been sooo cute, and had pulled off her "act" quite well, until that pair of truckers decided she was going to be their plaything for the night. She had had to watch them grab Daphne, watch their faces when they had "found it", and finally, watch them snap her lovers neck like a twig. The rest of the night was a blur, and all she could really remember was that HEAT that had consumed her, the screams, and then, nothing. She had woken up the next day in their car, about 50 miles away, hearing the talk of the "she demon" that had devastated a bar last night on the CB radio. She had also learned that she had apparently killed almost a dozen people that night, and the thoughts still haunted her.
