Tonight BBC4 showed two uninterrupted hours of a country bus journey through Yorkshire.

There was no commentary, no voice over, no background music, just views through the driver's window, through the side windows and sometimes views of the driver and passengers. From time to time there were a few superimposed captions about the places the bus was passing.

It follows on from the successful slow canal journeys but was even more minimalist.

It was great. I recognised many of the roads and the views I couldn't look at because I was driving.

I would absolutely watch this. It sounds perfect. It also sounds like something nice to leave on while you write.

Sounds like the continuous crackling fireplace TV program shown around Christmas. Even though we have a fireplace in the den, the backs of the TV chairs are turned to it, so we sometimes have both the real and fake fireplace going and are facing the fake one.

Is it more entertaining than sitting before a clothes dryer watching the laundry spin?

<not a slow TV. I'm pretty proficient putting on my makeup and getting changed into something more comfortable besides just blue jeans and a tee shirt. đź‘ đź‘ đź‘ Kant
