Mmmm, things are slow here tonight....

I haven't been here all week, things been this way all week long? This place usually helps with my insomnia, but tonight I might have to find something new....*Sigh*

Wide awake and alone,

It's an old western phrase from the 30's I believe. How are you and what's up lady?

Thanks Rhys. I love my cam and I don't know what I'd do without my eyes.

Gusty it's hard to see all the action on the boards when you're in that time zone. It seems so slow right now but I guess that's normal eh?

yeah that type of camera has a nice resolution. You taking a photography class?

No photography class. I've had a knack with cameras since I was a young kid, like 6 years old. I took some pictures of a forest fire at sunset... actually it was so long ago I'm not sure what time it was but the smoke made it pretty dark. I snapped off a few pics before anyone realized I had the camera. Ever since then I've been on the lookout for great shots.

Well you have a natural talent for it then.

Nice work

TY. Now if only it would warm up so I can take all the cityscape pics I've been dreaming about. I haven't had my own camera in years so I'm kinda giddy about it.

yeah I saw the bridge/snow shots. those had a nice serenity to them. The very starkness of the landscape was nicely done in black/white and I think you had a sepia in there too...
Like to see the city stuff in color.

Noted. I had to take those in b/w, sepia because of the poor lighting. In all I'd say 2/3 of my personal photos are in colour but there are times when a different mode is called for.

I'd like to take photography classes some day. I want a dark room too. Digicams are fine but once you start blowing the pics up they start looking like lego people. I want to blow up and frame one of my beach shots but the res is too low. :-( Oh well, I'll settle for the desktop and the memory.

the cameras are bloody expensive but sometimes you can find old Nikon's without the built in light meters. With a hand held meter and fucking with the f-stop settings you can get some nice effects with black and white
