Husband and I for a lot of our time together have had opposite schedules. Four days a week he's on swing shift, I will rarely see him. His circadian rhythm is also so screwed up from that, that he rarely sleeps more than 4 hours at a time, usually in the middle of the night, and then again in the middle of the day.

Sex is much more often a case of "wake the other person up in very fun ways" than not.

I love it either way.

There's a reason I sleep as far over on my side of the bed as possible. I might drop off right in the middle of post-coital cuddling, but if I stay right up against her it won't be long before I'm up (pun totally intended) again. And that goes on throughout the night.

Luckily (I guess), working 11-6 at night five days a week means I don't actually share Rowan's bed all that often. Or, at least, not long enough to make a difference in her sleep schedule.

I must be rare in that i absolutely hate it.

Nothing worse to me than to be woke up in the middle of the night, especially when I'm finally getting enough sleep for once.

I value my sleep like gold, so when I feel the motion, I usually wind up saying "just, get it over with", with I have found, is an apparent mood killer, and lets me go back to sleep.

I guess i'm just abnormal like that.

It was one of those chemestry things. We met in the afternoon, ran an errand together, stopped for a drink, got take out food and a video and went back to my apartment.

When the movie was over, it just seemed natural to go to bed together.

In the middle of the night, I slipped out of bed to go to the bathroom, and tried to be considerate and slip back in without waking her. I failed.

When she awoke, I was looking at her. "What?" she asked sleepily.

"I was considering waking you and making love to you."

I swear its the best thing next to chocolate! The moment all sleepy when you realise you body is on fire and want nothing more than to make love. *mmmmmm* And yes spooning usually produces this moment and we usually stay spooned.

Spooning is very very dangerous.
And for that reason, we usually don't cuddle like that right before bedtime. Because if we do, I'll be almost asleep, and one of my honey's hands will start wandering. I figure it's just a sleepy caress. But nope, that's not it at all.
I almost always wake up spooned, regardless if we start that way the night before or not. And it always leads to playtime. It's almost better than coffee.
However, I don't think we've ever had wake up in the middle of the night sex.
But I've been informed that I wriggle back against him and wiggle myself comfortable, and if he's awake, I almost get woke up to find myself in a compromising position. But he never has. I shall tell him this morning that he must take advantage of me the next time. I'll make a scientific experiment out of it!

Its always been fantastic for me. Both my ex wifes loved it, at least until the marriages were on their last legs. I wake up horny 4 or 5 times a week but without any outlet, at the moment at least
