it's not IMAO .. that's why I always sleep naked today. [see beginning of thread] My parents never bothered covering up .. it just wasnt a big deal. I mean, they weren't weird about it at all ... but it just wasnt an issue. I even have a very curvy 26 year old sister who still jumps in the hot tub at my house completely bare assed with me .. it's not sexual, it's just the way we were all brought up! I plan on allowing my kids the same freedom from silly hang ups about the human body.
You all do realize that this type of modesty is a very american thing, right?
try going to a beach in europe or australia and see how different it is!
(and no, nobody in my family are nudists or have been to anything like that)

When I was growing up, naked was never a big deal in our house. That's why it isn't in my home now. Our daughter knows we sleep naked and she does too sometimes. If she crawls in bed with us at night(which is rare) its no problem. I can't see covering up it teaches kids that they should be ashamed of being naked. I guess I'm in the minority here in the states. Naked just isn't a bad thing to me.

Lilfrk I agree with you totally!! Nudity isn't a big deal to me either at all! I of course like to look at nude women, but it's nothing unusual for me to see. I think I'm lucky that I live in a very liberal part of the world when it comes to nudity!
yes but when your children are approaching the teen years and on occassion still crawl into bed with you in the early morning it's not something they want to see that's the reason for the cover up plus if you have to wander down to the nursery for the baby it's just easier to be covered up so you don't encounter others nude.

I have two balls. sorry about the confusion. while they are not over sized for my body nor hang down to low and i do sleep on my back, it has happened that i roll over on my stomach during the night. being that i now sleep on a firm bed and not my much loved water bed {it took my wife eight years to talk me in to getting rid of it.} sometimes if i sleep in the nude which i like; one or both can get pined under my thigh. now, this can hurt like hell for several hours! Thats why i now sleep in underwear to hold em in place.
and before someone asks... fuck no i'm not posting a pic.!
