Slave Trade

In the far future, people will sell themselves into slavery. Slaves will be protected under law and treated well. This is one such place.

Being rich was lonely, I covered my face in a thin veil as befitted my station. I made my way through the market my purchaser making transactions as I indicated. She was a lovely young creature, her skin golden brown from the sun, I had acquired her several years ago. She had just turned 18 and I was planning on buying a male to teach her the pleasures of being a woman.

We headed into the slave pits and I entered my private box. I glanced over the list of options doing a quick search by age, gender, and cost. A list of five came up, I entered how much I was willing to pay for each and watched as bids came in.

In the end I paid for two, who would be sent to my home cleaned up and dressed in my livery. I waved my hand and my serving girl and I headed home.

My name was Miranda and I pondered what I would do with the other man. As well as which one would be better suited to my young slave's personal tastes..............

As Miranda led here newest charges outside she was joined by her Body guard who was not allowed inside to the slave pens. His name was Bael and he was a northlander. He had been captured during a raid when the King's navy had caught the raiding party he had been in resting from the attack they had just waged. He was one of only a few survivors of that battle and had been sold here. Miranda had bought him for use in the Arena to make sure she had a hand in all aspects of her trade. It had turned out to be a blessing for both of them. She had gotten a now four time champion and he got to do what he liked best: killing people.

But that was not the limit of their partnership. At the conclusion of his second championship she had offered him his freedom but he had turned it down. She didn't know why, but decided to give him the freedom to do as he pleased though she still owned him. What she didn't know was that he had fallen in love with her soon after he had been bought and he didn't want to leave her side....
