I read the first 10 chapters of this story but now it's not on the site. If you google it, it still shows up through chapter 12 but when you click the link - it says "waiting for moderator approval". Does anybody know what happened to the series? it was by JosephBarnosky.

If you get that message on a previously posted story ( which this must be, because it shows up in Google ) then the story has been reported for some sort of content violation and removed pending author review/revision, or the author has asked for it to be pulled from public view for some reason.
It hasn't been completely deleted from the site, or you would get a 404-Not-Found error instead.
At this point, it's in the hands of the author.
