Slack-Jawed Knuckle-Dragger To Gloat On U.S. TV Tonight

I've been meaning to tell you, SR - that's a damn sexy AV you've got there. (This seemed as good a place as any to mention that. :D)

Thank you. I bought these for the inaugural ball, but my invitation got lost.

Nice goose.

Don't hide behind innuendo and understatement. Tell us how you really feel.

He is the ultimate incarnation of Mediocrity. He's too shallow to perceive the damage he's done.

Meanwhile, the puppetmaster takes another sip of his special health-shake made from black-market stem-cells and single-malt scotch, stubs out a Cuban cigar in Ileanna Ros-Lehtinan's cleavage, and prepares to attend the speech as just another spectator.

"Keep the change," he says, tossing her a handful of cash. "But don't come back. We don't need you people anymore."

I think she said that Clyde, the organgutan from "Every Which Way But Loose," was going to be giving a televised lecture on the merits of wearing a live squirrel as a hat.

I don't know what YOU thought she meant . . .

I wonder what was on the night Elvis shot the TV set?

WE are going to be watching Cartoon Network this evening. Ed, Edd & Eddy, the Teen Titans, Yu-gi-oh -

But then again, I suppose much of the U.S. will be watching a cartoon character on network TV, too.

Hmm.

Yu-gi-oh will be better.

I had everything but "squirrel." I thought it was a groundhog. In honor of that, you know ... occasion.

If Comedy Central runs the speech with commentary, I can handle it. Taken straight it would be like drinking rubbing alcohol.

Least likely to be mentioned tonight:

Civilian Casualties

Ahmad Chalabi

Osama Bin Laden

Halliburton

Graft

Investigation

Apology to Agent Plame

The "D" Word

You forgot "Weapons of Mass Destruction", or the lack there of.

I'm surprised yuo haven't thought of this Sher, but I think Comedy Central would rule the nelson's for the night, if they had the MST3K guys do the commentary.

Or anything remotely intelligent and thought-provoking.

Brilliant!

<lament-mode>Oh, why did Sci-Fi cancel them?</lament>

Damn and I thought you were going to say Richard Marcinko was going to be on.

Cat

(If you don't know, well,,,,,,,,,,,It's a long story and you'll need a set of dive gear to get through it.)

The Reunion Special. You're right, what a missed opportunity. Of course, there's always one holdout from the original cast who spoils it for the others, like Ginger.

I don't know if they do it anymore, but Comedy Central used to cover these speeches with what was essentially a spontaneous version MST3K, minus robots. They ran the full speech text, captioned, so you wouldn't miss any breathtaking revelations while you were laughing the the two or three smartasses who were commenting throughout. It was always a fun night. I think Dennis Miller participted in one before the pod people took him.

Wow. I never thought I'd say this, but Sarah's right. There is something out there worse than Yu-gi-oh!

I've got to check my standards and see if I still know what good entertainment is, now. Excuse me for a bit. ::shakes her head, bewildered:: What's the world coming to when Yugi-boy's better than a letter of the alphabet?

Yes - Jon Stewart!

Except - as his show is taped prior to his telecast he couldn't comment on the speech last evening.

But Tonight - :D
