Skype Directory for Phone Sex

Hello Everyone!
Recently, a friend turned me on to the joys of using Skype for phone sex purposes. It is easy to use, doesn't require that the user give our his/her phone number, supports Mac users like myself, and best of all, it's free!!!
To get it going, all you need is to download the free software (www.skype.com) and have an internal or external microphone
So this got me thinking. Why not create a directory of people interested in phone sex who wish to use Skype? For women who like phone sex but are afaid of psycho guys, this is definitely for you.

The Lack of Women in Skype Directory

Thanks for posting gentlemen. I'm disappointed that no ladies have done the same, but I cannot say I'm surprised.

I suspect that their lack of involvement comes from:
1) Downloading the software seems like a pain when they already have Yahoo or another program with voice capabilities...

or

2) They don't understand how much safer and less expensive Skype is than using a cell phone or calling card...

or

3) They are afraid of being inundated every time they sign on to Skype?

Oh well, hope springs eternal. Perhaps a thousand women will sign up this week. Let's keep the faith.

I have just tuned in to Skype...as a Mac user, it has been quite liberating because of its cross platform capabilities .....no "we don't support Mac" messages at last!!!

From a female perspective, I have found that I have been inundated in the first few days of operation with requests for contacts from a huge number of men (lost count, in fact) and two women!

I wish you luck with this..........perhaps you will find that the women will be selective and pick and choose from those men that post their skype IDs here and make direct contact with you.

I've had Skype for quite a while now but haven't used it. Maybe it is because Yahoo is more wide spread.

Regarding the lack of ladies posting here it might be the idea of being inundated as well as a general sense of keeping things private. No matter that here at Lit we might be more open about discussing sex, I keep things private.

I'm not sure I understand the 'problem'. If you have Skype, you're almost guaranteed to have Yahoo. Yet I've never -ever- seen anyone try to get a Yahoo variety of this sort of thread started here in the personals. If Yahoo is more popular, why isn't it being used?

Its about Yahoo not supporting audio for Mac users....If you want audio you have to look for something other than Yahoo to use!

Skype does it for Mac users!

Perhaps instead I can get an advertising fee for promoting Skype? Some good should come from all of this!

Thing is as Austral has said, most women are selective as to whom they want to give out their contacts to. I have Skype, but my primary reason for downloading Skype is to chat. Not that I'm adverse to talking naughty but I'd rather do it with someone whom I've known for sometime and are comfortable with. I am not comfortable with putting my contact on a thread that specifically says "directory for phone sex" as that would open a slew of unwanted calls and make me look like a phonesex operator *LOL*

Hopefully this gives you some insight on how we women think

Ahhhhh. Skype is for Mac, Yahoo is not. I see.

As for Skype details, you'll note I haven't put MINE on here either.

But that's more because I'm only on it when I know there's someone I want to talk to.

Which is rare, since I might as well live in South Africa, for the hours I keep. But I never understood why anyone would be insane and post contact details on the web for anything other than a messenger, and maybe email.

I think you miss the point. When you use Skype, you don't have to post any real personal information, except for your Skype name. It's no different than using Yahoo or any of the other Internet-telephone services.
I suppose if you were on Skype all the time, but only occasionally for phone sex, it would be easiest to have two Skype names-one for being productive and the other for getting off!

I agree with what the other women have to say. I have Skype and got it so I could chat with some of my friends. We find it to be of better quality than Yahoo at times.

I don't have it for phone sex and I wouldn't post my ID in a thread like this because I wouldn't want to be bombarded either. Especially as I already get several phone calls, and a hundred or so (I exagerate but its a lot) messages/authorisation requests every time I sign on from men living in Turkey and other places! Its just annoying!

I have to get to know someone before giving them contact details too. I'm very cautious.

I am sorry you're frustrated/disappointed though.
