Skin

Looks like I will be one of the first of the guys to admit to using any skin care products. I use hand lotion almost every day just to reverse the effects of all the soap and dryness. I also am fairly attentive to my nails. Hands being so important for certain things. I would not want them to cause discomfort when they are supposed to be creating pleasure.

I don't use anything on my face anymore since I switched to electric razors. I used to have horrible razor burn problems on my neck.

YES! Nice hands are a BIG turn on!

My morning routine:

I do some jogging and weight training at 7am, followed by a thoroughly, abrasive shower with pumice soap for the body and a special formula astringent for my face (which I don't use under my eyes, or it'll dry out and be like a sunburn). Hair with Selsen Blue, and then conditioned with a Cherry-smelling bottle that I got as a gift that leaves my hair manageable. A once-over with some Amazing Grace from Philosophy (yes, 'Dita, I am a cliche') then onto shaving with a fresh Mach 3 (change the blades every Sunday) with a pre-shave oil to protect the skin, a vanilla lather to shave with (badger hair brush), and a somewhat burboun-smelling oil afterward that I can never remember the name of (I got it from one of my clients and swear by the stuff). Then, some lotion for my hands (honestly, any will do, I just use a little aloe and sunscreen when I can) and feet, elbows and knees. Afterward, I use some cologne I got from another client. Its the stuff Bond wears. All I know is the bottle is 220 bucks and I would never have bought it myself. But its nice.

Best shaving tip I have came from a rockette. She suggested using a venus razor (by gillette) with a new blade and satin care shaving cream. Since I started with them I haven't cut myself once and have had no more razor burn :)

BIG BUMP!

On Colly's advice, I tried the Venus razor. Very nice! It's damned near impossible to nick yourself with it (even in those hard-to-reach places). No razor burn, either.

Then, a friend insisted I try the Intuition razor. EVEN CLOSER SHAVE! You don't use a cream with it -- just wet it. It has this soapy stuff around the blades. No nicks. Just a wee bit of razor burn, though.

Has anyone else tried both? If so, what's your opinion?

(I am such a slut for skin care stuff! Doesn't have to be expensive stuff -- just EFFECTIVE stuff.)

I'll be another of the guys to own up to skincare. Just a moisturiser though.

The Earl
