Size question, but NOT the obvious one

Reading erotica leads one to believe that the size of a man's balls is indicative of the amount he ejaculates, ie the bigger his testes, the bigger the load. A lot of stories make a lot about huge ball sacs producing tons of ejaculate, this set me to wondering...

I'm willing to be corrected, but isn't it the prostate that produces the semen which allows the sperm produced in the testes to flow, and therefore the prostate is the producer of the real amount of fluid flow. And the amount of sperm (in volume) is only a very small part of the overall amount, correct? So the testes size is largely irrelevant, or...?
Any comments or accurate medical knowledge out there?

Anecdotal evidence only...but I don't think size=amount.

There may be a relation but I'm pretty certain it's not the only factor.

The prostate gland produces the actual ejaculate. Sperm are contained within the testes. Sperm travel up through the prostate, before being expelled from the penis. So, the amount of ejaculate would depend on the prostate. However, a larger prostate does NOT mean more ejaculate. An enlarged prostate normally indicates problems with sexual function. Many men state it depends on how long they gone between ejaculations and/or how aroused they are.

Size of testes does not have anything to do with the amount of ejaculate produced.

(C'mon people, this is basic sex ed - did ya all skip that part? ;))

I've never done any scientifice study or anything: but my current lover has VERY small balls and has hardly any ejaculate. This is due to a childhood injury falling thru a dock he says. Doesn't matter to me...... less of a wet spot! I've had a man with huge balls and he had tons of cum - of course he was only 22 - does age affect volume?

I really knew the answer, but...

....I wanted to know why the stories both here and elsewhere always made a big deal out of the size of the sac, hence the question posed as it was. Anyway, I understand that the descriptions in the stories are not necessarily always medically accurate! Thought it might be interesting to ask anyway, out of curiousity if nothing else.

I think there is just as big an obsession with the size of men's genitals as there are women's breasts. And part of a man's genitals are his testes, so....

As far as the amount of ejaculate, I think you have the porn industry to thank for that. For some reason it is considered highly arousing by some people, both men and women.

I don't understand it. It just is, unfortunately.

Size does NOT matter

The size of testicles has nothing to do with the amount of ejaculate. When the sperm travel up the vas deferens it encounters the seminal vesicles. The seminal vesicles provide 70% of the ejaculate, including sugar and chemicals that activate the sperm tail so it can swim. Next the sperm empties into the uthrea right in the middle of the prostate glad. The prostate gland provides the other 30%. Prostate secretions are thin and alkaline and protect the sperm from the acidic vaginal secretions..

Most men know that on occassion, they really ejaculate far and the ejaculate is thiner and more watery. To accomplish that, nice long arousal and intense excitement will really get the prostate going and produce more watery fluid. This long build up also makes the contractions of orgasm stronger and the combination of extra prostate fluid and strong contrations give you that porno quality big squirt. Give a guy a nice long hand job and talk dirty to him and them back up, sister!!! You can also insert your finger in the guys rectum and massage the prostate to get every drop you can.

Before all the above happens, the Cowper's gland below the prostate produces an alkaline slippery substance that coats the urethra. Because urine flows through the uthrea, it is acid. The Cowper's secretion neutralizes the acidity. Those slippery secretions during arousal is what some people call "pre cum."
And note, folks, that it contains live sperm so put the comdom on before those secretions start. This is one of the reasons that withdrawl is not very effective.

And the kicker is that none of this can happen until the testicles roate slightly and pull up very close to the body. Hence, when an guy orgasms, his balls will look their smallest because they are tight to the body getting ready to let the sperm head north.

Happy orgasms.

Dr. Steve

PS The fact that the vagina is acidic and the ejaculate is basic is the reason that women taste nice and tart and sweet and fruity and ejaculate sometimes tastes a little soapy or even bleachy.
